Saudi Arabia: Fines of up to 100,000 riyals for violators of Covid restrictions

Saudi Arabia today announced the amendment of penalties for violations of precautionary measures and preventive measures taken to counter the Corona pandemic, noting the imposition of fines on individuals and facilities that do not comply with the restrictions of social spacing and announced procedures.

The saudi press agency reported Tuesday, quoting an official source, that fines range from 10,000 riyals to 50,000 Saudi riyals for individuals who violate the requirements of family and non-family gatherings and the category of workers, while facilities violating the procedures of spacing and approved protocols will pay a fine of between 10,000 and 100,000 riyals.

The agency added that the official in charge of the branch of the facility will be referred to the public prosecutor’s office if the violation is repeated.

A fine of 1000 riyals will be imposed on anyone who violates the procedures and the penalty signed last time when it is repeated will be doubled and up to SR 100,000 for anyone who violates precautionary measures and preventive measures.

Anyone coming to perform prayers in The Makkan Sanctuary without a permit will also be fined 1,000 riyals.

أعلنت السعودية اليوم عن تعديل عقوبات مخالفات الإجراءات الاحترازية والتدابير الوقائية المتخذة لمواجهة جائحة كورونا، مشيرة إلى فرض غرامات على الأفراد والمنشآت التي لا تلتزم بقيود التباعد الاجتماعي والإجراءات المعلنة.

وذكرت وكالة الأنباء السعودية اليوم الثلاثاء نقلاً عن مصدر مسؤول أن الغرامات تتراوح بين 10 آلاف ريال و50 ألف ريال سعودي على الأفراد الذين يخالفون اشتراطات التجمعات العائلية وغير العائلية وفئة العمال، في حين ستدفع المنشآت المخالفة لإجراءات التباعد والبروتوكولات المعتمدة غرامة تتراوح بين 10 آلاف و100 ألف ريال.

وأضافت الوكالة أنه سيتم إحالة المسؤول عن فرع المنشأة إلى النيابة العامة إذا تكررت المخالفة.

كما سيتم فرض غرامة 1000 ريال لأي فرد يخالف الإجراءات وتضاعف العقوبة الموقعة في المرة السابقة عند التكرار وتصل إلى (100.000) ريال لأي شخص يخالف الإجراءات الاحترازية والتدابير الوقائية.

كما سيتم فرض غرامة 1000 ريال لأي شخص قادم لأداء الصلوات في الحرم دون الحصول على تصريح.
