يعود متحف الفن الإسلامي في قطر (MIA) إلى دائرة الاهتمام العالمي، بعد اختياره ضمن أهم 25 مبنى في القرن الـ21 وفقًا لمجلة Dezeen المرموقة. صمّم هذا الصرح الاستثنائي آي. إم. باي، ليكون جسرًا بين الماضي والمستقبل، حيث تمتزج العمارة الإسلامية التقليدية مع لمسات الحداثة والإبداع الهندسي.
يقع المتحف على جزيرة صناعية ساحرة على كورنيش الدوحة، ويُعد قصيدة معمارية منحوتة في الضوء والحجر. بواجهاته الهندسية المميزة وإطلالته الساحرة على الخليج، يجسّد المتحف روح الحضارة الإسلامية بلمسات عصرية، ويُربط بالمدينة عبر ممشى أنيق تصطف على جانبيه الأشجار، مع نافورة بديعة وجسر يمتد برشاقة فوق المياه.
