Joint WHO and China Report Reveals the Source of Coronavirus

Doha: A joint report by the World Health Organization (WHO) and China revealed that the transmission of the coronavirus to humans through an animal is a potential lyced hypothesis, as opposed to the complete exclusion of the hypothesis of a laboratory accident.

وبحسب التقرير لخبراء منظمة الصحة العالمية وآخرين صينيين، شدد الخبراء على ضرورة إجراء تحقيقات أخرى تشمل نطاقا جغرافيا أكبر في الصين وخارجها، وذلك نظرا لما كتب عن دور حيوانات المزارع كوسيط في نقل الأمراض المستجدة، وفقًا لموقع الجزيرة.
ويرجح الخبراء النظرية العامة للانتقال الطبيعي للفيروس من مصدره الحيواني وهي على الأرجح الخفافيش، إلى الإنسان عبر حيوان وسيط لم يتم تحديده بعد.
ويعتبر التقرير أن فرضية الانتقال المباشر من الحيوان المصدر (أو الخزان) إلى الإنسان ممكنة إلى مرجحة.
ولم يستبعد الخبراء نظرية الانتقال عبر اللحوم المجمدة، وهي النظرية التي ترجحها بكين معتبرين أن هذا السيناريو ممكن.
ويوصي التقرير بمواصلة الدراسات على قاعدة هذه الفرضيات الثلاث ويستبعد في المقابل إمكان أن يكون الفيروس انتقل إلى الإنسان جراء حادث في مختبر.
وكانت إدارة الرئيس الأمريكي السابق دونالد ترمب اتهمت معهد ووهان للفيروسات الذي يجري أبحاثا حول مسببات أمراض خطرة بالتسبب بتسريب الفيروس عمدا أم عن غير عمد.
وأشار الخبراء إلى أنهم لم يدرسوا فرضية التسريب العمد واعتبروا أن التسرب جراء حادث مختبر مستبعد تماما.
وواجهت البعثة المكلفة تحديد كيفية انتقال الفيروس إلى الإنسان والتي يعد عملها بالغ الأهمية لتعزيز فرص التصدي لأي جائحة جديدة قد يشهدها العالم، صعوبات في الوصول إلى الصين التي ترددت كثيرا في السماح لهؤلاء الخبراء العالميين متعددي الاختصاصات من الأوبئة إلى علم الحيوان بدخول أراضيها.
وخلص الخبراء في تقريرهم إلى أن دراسات سلسلة الإمداد لسوق هوانان وغيرها من أسواق ووهان لم تؤد إلى إيجاد أدلة على وجود حيوانات مصابة، لكن تحليل سلاسل الإمداد وفر معلومات مجدية لدراسات لاحقة محددة الأهداف خصوصا في مناطق مجاورة.
ويدعو الخبراء إلى عدم إهمال المنتجات الحيوانية المصدر القادمة من مناطق تقع خارج نطاق جنوب شرق آسيا.
وتأخر الفريق في إصدار الدراسة مرارا ما أثار تساؤلات حول ما إذا كان الجانب الصيني يحاول تحريف الاستنتاجات لمنع اتهام بكين بالتسبب في انتشار الوباء.
