Pyongyang: North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un said in a report to the 8th Congress of the ruling Labor Party that the country has completed the development of a new nuclear submarine, state media reported. “The development of a new nuclear submarine, an example of modernization, has been completed and provides the Navy with a confident opportunity to significantly increase the level of existing capabilities of underwater military operations,” the North Korean leader’s report said.
Kim Jong Un said the country will continue to develop nuclear weapons and improve technology for preemptive and retaliatory strikes.
Kim Jong Un called for the design of state-of-the-art, high-quality automatic military equipment, noting that North Korea must continue to develop nuclear weapons. He stressed that North Korea would not use its nuclear capabilities unless the “aggressive forces” tried to use its nuclear weapons against his country.
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un described the United States as the greatest enemy, calling for the development of his country’s military equipment and the expansion of its nuclear arsenal.
Kim said abandoning this hostile policy will play a pivotal role in north-South relations, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported.
What he described as Washington’s hostile policy would not change toward his country, regardless of who occupies the White House.
Kim was quoted as saying that his country’s foreign policy should focus on curbing the United States, which he saw as the main obstacle to its development.

وأضاف كيم جونغ أون أن البلاد ستواصل تطوير الأسلحة النووية وتحسين التكنولوجيا لتوجيه الضربات الوقائية والانتقامية.
