Berlin: Germany has announced its intention to employ experts from the army and the Robert Koch Institute for disease control and prevention in areas where the Coronavirus (Covid 19) virus is spreading.
“Urban development shows whether we can keep the pandemic in Germany under control or whether we are losing control of it,” German Chancellor Angela Merkel said after a video conference with the mayors of the 11 major cities.
These days and weeks are crucial to how Germany is placed in winter, Merkel said, adding that the goal should be to keep the numbers in a range where each case can be tracked and every contact can be contacted and warned.
She called for an understanding of restrictions such as curfews, explaining that the primary objective was not to close public life if possible again as was necessary last spring.
Health Ministry announced Thursday that the capital Berlin has become a epicentre of the Corona outbreak, with the new infection rate exceeding the warning limit of 50 cases per 100,000 people in seven days. This rate is a central standard agreed by the Federal Government and the States as an indicator that, when exceeded, countermeasures can be taken in the places concerned to contain the spread of the virus.
The German Robert Koch Institute for The Control of Infectious and Non-Communicable Diseases announced earlier today that the number of new infections recorded in the past 24 hours in Germany has reached 4,516, according to data from local health departments.

برلين: أعلنت ألمانيا اعتزامها الاستعانة مستقبلا بخبراء من الجيش ومعهد /روبرت كوخ/ لمكافحة الأمراض في المناطق التي يتفشى فيها فيروس كورونا /كوفيد ـ 19/.
وقالت المستشارة الألمانية أنجيلا ميركل، عقب مؤتمر عبر تقنية الفيديو مع عمداء المدن الكبرى الإحدى عشر، “إن التطور في المناطق الحضرية يظهر ما إذا كان بإمكاننا إبقاء الجائحة في ألمانيا تحت السيطرة أو ما إذا كنا نفقد السيطرة عليها”.
وذكرت ميركل أن هذه الأيام والأسابيع تعتبر حاسمة بالنسبة لكيفية وضع ألمانيا في الشتاء، مضيفة أن الهدف يتعين أن يكون إبقاء الأعداد في نطاق يمكن من خلاله تتبع كل إصابة ويمكن الوصول إلى كل جهة اتصال وتحذيرها.
ودعت إلى تفهم القيود مثل حظر التجول، موضحة أن الهدف الأساسي هو عدم إغلاق الحياة العامة إن أمكن الأمر مجددا مثلما كان ذلك ضروريا في الربيع الماضي.
وكانت قد أعلنت وزارة الصحة في ولاية برلين أمس /الخميس/ أن العاصمة أصبحت بؤرة لتفشي كورونا، حيث تجاوز معدل الإصابات الجديدة الحد التحذيري البالغ 50 حالة لكل مئة ألف نسمة في سبعة أيام. ويعد هذا المعدل، معيارا مركزيا اتفقت عليه الحكومة الاتحادية والولايات كمؤشر يمكن عند تجاوزه اتخاذ تدابير مضادة في الأماكن المعنية لمحاصرة انتشار الفيروس.
وأعلن معهد /روبرت كوخ/ الألماني لمكافحة الأمراض المعدية وغير المعدية في وقت سابق اليوم، أن عدد الإصابات الجديدة التي تم تسجيلها خلال الساعات الـ24 الماضية في ألمانيا، بلغ 4516 إصابة، استنادا إلى بيانات الإدارات الصحية المحلية.
