Britain: Gulf States are not exempt from quarantine

Visitors from 59 countries and regions will not have to undergo quarantine from July 10th, the British government said yesterday.
The Government added that those from any country not on this list would have to undergo a voluntary quarantine until 14 days after they left the country.
The list published by the British Ministry of Transport included most of the EU and a number of Eastern European countries, as well as some Caribbean islands, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand, along with Taiwan, Turkey and, on the other hand, the list did not include any Arab countries, Gulf Cooperation Council states, the United States and China, which means that citizens of non-listed countries will be required to undergo a mandatory quarantine for two weeks when they enter Britain in compliance with the procedures that came into force last month.
The British Ministry of Transport has made it clear that citizens of quarantine-exempt countries cannot travel to Britain via third countries that are not included in the exemption or will have to comply with the mandatory quarantine.
This decision covers England alone from the UK’s regions of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, where local governments impose more stringent independent procedures.
New measures are expected to be introduced in England today to ease the general closure, allowing restaurants, cafes, cinemas, theatres and some tourist and leisure destinations to return to activity but in accordance with the conditions and procedures of physical distancing.

قالت الحكومة البريطانية أمس إن الزائرين القادمين إلى بريطانيا من 59 دولة ومنطقة لن يكونوا مضطرين للخضوع للحجر الصحي اعتباراً من العاشر من يوليو.
وأضافت الحكومة أن القادمين من أي دولة غير مدرجة على هذه القائمة سيكون لزاماً عليهم الخضوع لحجر صحي طوعي لحين مرور 14 يوماً منذ مغادرتهم لهذا البلد.
وضمت القائمة التي نشرتها وزارة النقل البريطانية أغلب دول الاتحاد الأوروبي وعدداً من دول شرق أوروبا، إضافة إلى بعض جزر البحر الكاريبي واليابان وكوريا الجنوبية وفيتنام وهونغ كونغ وأستراليا ونيوزيلندا بجانب تايوان وتركيا وفي المقابل خلت القائمة من أي دولة عربية ودول مجلس التعاون الخليجي والولايات المتحدة والصين ما يعني أن مواطني الدول غير المذكورة في القائمة سيُفرض عليهم حجر صحي إلزامي لمدة أسبوعين عند دخولهم بريطانيا تقيداً بالإجراءات التي دخلت حيز التنفيذ الشهر الماضي.
وأوضحت وزارة النقل البريطانية أنه لا يمكن لمواطني الدول المعفاة من الحجر الصحي السفر إلى بريطانيا عبر دول ثالثة غير مشمولة بالإعفاء وإلا سيكون عليهم الالتزام بالحجر الإلزامي.
يُذكر أن هذا القرار يشمل إنجلترا دون غيرها من مناطق المملكة المتحدة وهي اسكتلندا وويلز وأيرلندا الشمالية والتي تفرض حكوماتها المحلية إجراءات مستقلة أكثر تشدداً.
ومن المنتظر أن تدخل اليوم في إنجلترا إجراءات جديدة لتخفيف الإغلاق العام، حيث سيسمح للمطاعم والمقاهي ودور السينما والمسرح وبعض الوجهات السياحية والترفيهية بالعودة للنشاط ولكن وفق شروط وإجراءات التباعد الجسدي.
