Hatay: Qatar Development Fund has delivered the final batch of mobile homes to aid those affected by the earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria last February.
The mobile homes, which arrived in the Turkish province of Hatay, are part of Qatar’s efforts to respond to the aftermath of the devastating earthquake. Over the three months following the earthquake, the fund transported 10,000 fully furnished homes with all necessary facilities for decent living to house the affected people in 15 cities and villages in southeastern Turkey.
An intense earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 on the Richter scale hit southern Turkey and northern Syria on February 6, followed by another with a magnitude of 7.6, both of which were followed by thousands of strong aftershocks, resulting in tens of thousands of casualties and injuries as well as extensive damage and destruction to buildings and properties in both countries.
To alleviate the suffering of the affected people and support their resilience, the Qatar Development Fund, in cooperation with its strategic partners, sent urgent relief aid, including food supplies, field hospitals, medical supplies, and tents for shelter.
The fund continues to contribute to improving the livelihoods of vulnerable communities around the world by providing necessary aid.

هاتاي: سلّمَ صندوقُ قطر للتنمية، الدفعةَ الأخيرةَ من المنازل المُتنقلة لإغاثة المُتضرّرين من الزلزال الذي ضربَ تركيا وسوريا في شهر فبراير الماضي.
وتأتي المنازلُ المُتنقلةُ، التي وصلت إلى ولاية «هاتاي» التركية، في إطار جهود دولة قطر للاستجابة لتبعات الزَّلزال المُدمّر، حيث نقلَ الصندوقُ خلال الأشهر الثلاثة التي أعقبت الزلزال 10000 منزل مؤثث بالكامل ويضم كافة المرافق التي تكفل سبل العيش الكريم، لإيواء المُتضرّرين في 15 مدينة وقرية جنوب شرقي تركيا.
وضربَ زلزالٌ عنيفٌ بلغت قوته 7.7 درجة على مقياس ريختر جنوبي تركيا وشمالي سوريا في السادس من فبراير الماضي، أعقبه آخر بقوَّة 7.6 درجة، وتبعتهما آلاف الهزات الارتدادية العنيفة، ما أسفر عن عشرات الآلاف من الضحايا والمُصابين وألحق أضرارًا ودمارًا هائلًا في المباني والمُمتلكات بالبلدَين.
ولتخفيف مُعاناة المُتضررين ودعم صمودهم، أرسل صندوقُ قطر للتنمية، بالتعاون مع شركائه الاستراتيجيين، مُساعداتٍ إغاثيةً عاجلةً تضمنت موادَّ غذائيةً ومُستشفيات ميدانية ومُستلزمات طبية وخيامًا للإيواء.
كما يُواصلُ الصندوقُ مُساهماتِه لتحسين سبل عيش المُجتمعات الهشة في جميع أنحاء العالم، عبر تقديم المعونات اللازمة.
