Kuwait Lifts Many Coronavirus Restrictions

Kuwait: Kuwait announced the lift of many restrictions imposed due the spread of Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic after the country succeeded in overcoming the new wave of the pandemic.

HH Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah said in a statement after the cabinet weekly session that the cabinet lifted may of the previous measures after the last wave’s subdue and the increase in the percentage of vaccination, adding that lines of prayers in mosques will return to normal, shopping malls will be opened to everyone, students will attend schools without examining the BCR, while everyone will be allowed to travel, as well as other procedures.

Sheikh Sabah confirmed that Kuwait succeeded in overcoming the new wave of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic with the least harms on economic, health and societal levels, and managed to deal with them due to the plan drawn up by the government.

HH Sheikh Sabah stressed that the decisions issued today “does not mean the end of the personal health precautionary measures which are mandatory to protect and adhere to public health, especially wearing a mask.”

On Jan. 10, the Kuwaiti Cabinet announced a package of measures to confront the new mutant of the Corona virus (Omicron).

Earlier the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health announced the registration of 2,562 new infections with the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases registered in the country to 603,869 cases, in addition to recording one death, bringing the total number of deaths registered in Kuwait to 2521 cases, while the total number of people recovered reached 565,903.

الكويت: أعلنت الكويت إلغاء العديد من القيود التي كانت مفروضة بسبب انتشار فيروس كورونا /كوفيد-19/، وذلك بعد نجاح البلاد في تخطي الموجة الجديدة من وباء كورونا.

وقال سمو الشيخ صباح خالد الحمد الصباح رئيس مجلس الوزراء الكويتي، في مؤتمر صحفي عقب الاجتماع الأسبوعي لمجلس الوزراء، إن المجلس ألغى العديد من الإجراءات السابقة، بعد “انحسار الموجة الأخيرة وارتفاع نسبة التطعيم”، مضيفا “سيعود رص الصفوف في المساجد، وتفتح المجمعات التجارية أمام الجميع، وسيحضر الطلبة إلى المدارس دون فحص الـ /بي.سي.آر/، مع السماح بالسفر للجميع، وغيرها من الإجراءات”.

كما أكد أن الكويت نجحت في تجاوز الموجة الجديدة من وباء فيروس كورونا /كوفيد-19/ بأقل الأضرار على المستويات الاقتصادية والصحية والمجتمعية، واستطاعت التعامل معها بسبب الخطة المسبقة التي وضعتها الحكومة.

وشدد سموه على أن القرارات “لا تعني نهاية الإجراءات الاحترازية الصحية الشخصية الواجبة لحماية الصحة العامة والالتزام بها، خاصة ارتداء الكمام”.

وأعلن مجلس الوزراء الكويتي، في العاشر من يناير الماضي، عن حزمة من الإجراءات لمواجهة المتحور الجديد من فيروس كورونا /أوميكرون/.

وفي وقت سابق، أعلنت وزارة الصحة الكويتية عن تسجيل 2562 إصابة جديدة بفيروس كورونا /كوفيد-19/، في الساعات الـ24 الماضية، ليرتفع بذلك إجمالي عدد الحالات المسجلة في البلاد إلى 603869 حالة، فضلا عن تسجيل حالة وفاة واحدة، ليصل إجمالي عدد الوفيات المسجلة في الكويت إلى 2521 حالة.. فيما بلغ إجمالي عدد المتعافين 565903 أشخاص.
