Qatar Welcomes Launch of UN-Facilitated Political Process in Sudan

Doha: The State of Qatar welcomed the announcement of the United Nations to launch initial consultations for an inclusive political process between the Sudanese parties, aimed at reaching an agreement on a way out of the current crisis and a consensus on a sustainable path of progress towards democracy and peace.
In a statement on Saturday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the State of Qatar’s aspiration that the consultations would pave the way for reaching a consensual formula that would represent all spectrums of the brotherly Sudanese people and achieve their aspirations for freedom, peace and justice.
The statement reiterated the State of Qatar’s full support for the unity, sovereignty and stability of Sudan.

الدوحة: رحبت دولة قطر بإعلان الأمم المتحدة، إطلاق مشاورات أولية لعملية سياسية شاملة بين الأطراف السودانية، بهدف التوصل إلى اتفاق يخرج البلاد من أزمتها الحالية، والتوافق على مسار مستدام للتقدم نحو الديمقراطية والسلام.
وأعربت وزارة الخارجية، في بيان الأمس، عن تطلع دولة قطر إلى أن تمهد المشاورات الطريق للوصول إلى صيغة توافقية تمثل كافة أطياف الشعب السوداني الشقيق وتحقق تطلعاته في الحرية والسلام والعدالة.
وجدد البيان، دعم دولة قطر الكامل لوحدة وسيادة واستقرار السودان.
