Net Profits of China’s Centrally-Owned State Firms at $275 billion This Year

Beijing: China’s centrally-administered state-owned enterprises (SOEs) saw robust growth in net profits in the first 11 months of the year.
According to the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) of the State Council, during the January-November period, net profits of central SOEs expanded to 1.75 trillion yuan (about 274.94 billion U.S. dollars). Enterprises in the petroleum and petrochemical, iron and steel as well as coal industries saw an apparent increase in their profitability, said the SASAC.
The research and development (R&D) intensity (the percentage of revenue that is reinvested in R&D) of the central SOEs went up by 0.1 percentage points from a year earlier to stand at 2.3 percent during the period.
Since the beginning of the year, central SOEs have accelerated their investment in strategic emerging industries, according to the SASAC.
In the first three quarters, central SOEs’ investment in the strategic emerging industries reached 726.7 billion yuan, up 6.3 percent year on year, the data shows.
By the end of last month, the debt-to-asset ratio of China’s central SOEs came in at 65.1 percent.

بكين: حققت الشركات المركزية الصينية المملوكة للدولة نموا كبيرا خلال الأحد عشر شهرا الأولى من العام الجاري، وتضاعفت نسبة أرباحها بشكل كبير.
وقالت لجنة رقابة وإدارة الأصول المملوكة للدولة التابعة لمجلس الدولة الصيني، إن صافي أرباح الشركات المركزية المملوكة للدولة بلغ، خلال الفترة من يناير إلى نوفمبر الماضيين، 1.75 تريليون يوان (حوالي 274.94 مليار دولار أمريكي).. مشيرة إلى أن الشركات العاملة في الصناعات البترولية والبتروكيماوية وصناعات الحديد والصلب وكذلك الفحم، كانت الأكثر تحقيقا للأرباح.
كما ارتفعت كثافة البحوث والتطوير (نسبة الإيرادات المعاد استثمارها في البحوث والتطوير) للشركات المركزية المملوكة للدولة بنسبة 0.1 نقطة مئوية مقارنة مع العام الماضي لتصل إلى 2.3 بالمئة خلال تلك الفترة.
وأضافت اللجنة أن الشركات المركزية المملوكة للدولة سرعت، منذ بداية العام، من وتيرة استثمارها في الصناعات الناشئة الاستراتيجية.
وخلال الأرباع الثلاثة الأولى من العام الحالي، بلغ استثمار الشركات المركزية المملوكة للدولة الصينية في الصناعات الناشئة الاستراتيجية 726.7 مليار يوان، بزيادة 6.3 بالمئة على أساس سنوي، بحسب ما أظهرت البيانات.
وبنهاية الشهر الماضي، بلغت نسبة الديون إلى الأصول للشركات المركزية المملوكة للدولة 65.1 بالمئة.
