Ankara: Turkey and the United States will establish a joint working group on disagreements, including the issues of the PKK terrorist group’s Syrian branch YPG, the Gulenist Terror Group (FETO) and the Russian-made advanced S-400 defense system, Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said Thursday. He underlined that the proposal came from Washington.
Cavusoglu presented the 2022 budget of the Foreign Ministry and related institutions at the Planning and Budget Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).
Stating that Turkey maintains its contact with the U.S. administration, Cavusoglu was quoted by Turkish Anadolu Agency (AA) as saying that the recent meeting between President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and U.S. President Joe Biden last Sunday was in a constructive atmosphere.
Cavusoglu said that the U.S. cooperation with the PKK/YPG, FETO’s presence in the U.S. and its stance on the S-400-related sanctions are incompatible with the spirit of alliance.
Regarding Turkish humanitarian efforts during the crisis in Afghanistan, Cavusoglu added: “In line with our proactive and humanitarian foreign policy, we worked during the crisis to ensure the safe evacuation of 1,502 people, most of whom are our citizens.” “We also provided support to 28 friendly and allied countries, 14 international organizations and 17 international media outlets regarding the evacuation,” he added.
On Libya, he stressed that Turkey is in close contact with the Government of National Unity at all levels, and that its contacts with various segments of the Libyan people are continuing.
Turkey refuses to back down from plans to buy the Russian S-400 missile defense system, which the United States says will undermine the security of the American-made F-35 aircraft, and Ankara considers its exclusion from the program as “unfair.”

أنقرة: أعلن السيد مولود تشاووش أوغلو وزير الخارجية التركي أنه سيتم تأسيس ” مجموعة عمل” مع الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية بشأن القضايا الأمنية والعسكرية المشتركة بين البلدين.
وخلال عرضه في البرلمان التركي اليوم لمشروع موازنة وزارة الخارجية والمؤسسات التابعة لها لعام 2022 قال أوغلو :” سيتم تأسيس مجموعة عمل مع الولايات المتحدة لمناقشة مسائل تنظيمات /ب ي د/ بي كا كا/ و/غولن/ ومنظومة صواريخ /إس -400/ بناء على عرض من واشنطن”.
وبين أن الاجتماع بين الرئيسين التركي رجب طيب أردوغان، والأمريكي جو بايدن، يوم الأحد الماضي في قمة مجموعة العشرين بروما، جرى في جو بنّاء. وأضاف: “أكد رئيسنا بوضوح هذه الأمور خلال الاجتماع /مع بايدن/. سننشئ مجموعة عمل لمعالجة تلك القضايا”.
ولفت إلى أن تعاون الولايات المتحدة مع /ي ب ك/ بي كا كا/ وتواجد /غولن/ فيها، وموقفها من العقوبات المتعلقة بمنظومة /إس – 400/ لا يتوافق مع روح التحالف.
وبخصوص الجهود الإنسانية التركية خلال الأزمة في أفغانستان، أضاف تشاووش أوغلو: “تماشياً مع سياستنا الخارجية المُبادِرة والإنسانية، عملنا أثناء الأزمة على ضمان الإجلاء الآمن لـ 1502 شخص معظمهم من مواطنينا”. وتابع: “قدمنا أيضا الدعم لـ28 دولة صديقة وحليفة و14 منظمة دولية و17 وسيلة إعلامية دولية بخصوص الإجلاء”.
وبشأن ليبيا، أكد أن تركيا على اتصال وثيق بحكومة الوحدة الوطنية على جميع المستويات، وأن اتصالاتها مع مختلف شرائح الشعب الليبي مستمرة.
وترفض تركيا التراجع عن خطط شراء منظومة /إس 400/ الروسية للدفاع الصاروخي التي تقول الولايات المتحدة إنها ستقوض أمن طائرات /إف – 35/ الأمريكية الصنع، وتعتبر انقرة أن استبعادها من البرنامج كان “مجحفا”.
