A rumor that killed Afghans in Kabul in a stampede or falling out of the plane. What’s the story?
شائعة قتلت الأفغان في كابل تدافعا أو سقوطا من الطائرة.. ما القصة؟
Local sources in the Afghan capital Kabul said a rumor released by unknown persons that spread like wildfire killed dozens of Afghans who rushed to the airport and were killed in a stampede or falling out of the plane.
According to Russia Today website, according to local sources, the false rumor stipulated that anyone who arrives at the airport will be assisted by Western delegations (American, French, British, etc.) and escorted with them on specially arrived aircraft, even if they do not have official papers.
Thousands of Afghan citizens rushed to the airport and there was considerable chaos, U.S. forces opened fire to disperse groups of people deployed on the runway, and a number of Afghans lost their lives falling from a U.S. military plane after clinging to its wheels during takeoff.
On Sunday, thousands of Afghans, individuals and groups of all ages, appeared in miserable videos in cars or on foot, rushing day and night to Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, fleeing anywhere, before Taliban take control of the entire capital and its more than 6 million inhabitants.
They painstakingly arrived at the airport 16 kilometres from the centre of Kabul, making their way between its corridors and lounges, to reach the runway, and to board any aircraft they found preparing to take off, without any of them asking where they were headed, most of whom were not carrying a suitcase.
قالت مصادر محلية في العاصمة الأفغانية كابل إن إشاعة أطلقها مجهولون وانتشرت كالنار في الهشيم تسببت بمقتل عشرات الأفغان الذين اندفعوا على المطار وقضوا تدافعا أو سقوطا من الطائرة.
ووفقا لموقع روسيا اليوم فإن الإشاعة الكاذبة بحسب المصادر المحلية نصت على أن كل من يصل للمطار سوف تساعده الوفود الغربية (الأمريكية، الفرنسية، البريطانية، الخ) وتصطحبه معها على متن طائرات جاءت خصيصا لذلك، حتى لو لم يكن يمتلك أوراقا رسمية.
وانطلق آلاف المواطنين الأفغان إلى المطار وحصلت فوضى كبيرة، وأطلقت القوات الأمريكية النار لتفريق مجموعات الناس التي انتشرت على المدرج، كما أن عددا من الأفغان فقد حياته بعد وقوعه من على متن طائرة عسكرية أمريكية تعلق بعجلاتها أثناء عملية الإقلاع.
وكان آلاف الأفغان، أفراداً وجماعات من كافة الأعمار، ظهروا يوم الأحد في مقاطع فيديو من نوع بائس، وهم بسيارات ضاقت بها الشوارع، أو مشياً على الأقدام، مسرعين نهاراً وليلاً إلى مطار “حامد كرزاي الدولي” بكابل، للفرار منه إلى أي مكان، قبل أن تسيطر طالبان على كل العاصمة وسكانها الأكثر من 6 ملايين.
حيث وصلوا بشق الأنفس إلى المطار البعيد 16 كيلومتراً عن وسط كابل، وشقوا طريقهم بين ممراته وردهاته، للوصول إلى المدرج، والصعود منه إلى أي طائرة يجدونها تستعد للإقلاع، من دون أن يسأل الواحد منهم عن وجهتها، ومعظمهم لم يكن حاملاً لحقيبة سفر.
