COVID-19 patient zero may have been Wuhan lab worker: WHO
الصحة العالمية ترجح أن المصاب “رقم صفر” بـ كورونا باحث علمي
WHO expert Peter Emparik suggested that the “patient zero” of coronavirus may have been infected with the virus in a scientific laboratory or during field research in China.
According to Russia Today, the expert said that “one possible hypothesis indicates that one of the researchers contracted Coronavirus in the field while collecting samples of bats from which the virus is transmitted to humans… In this case, he is an employee of the laboratory and not a resident or anyone else dealing with bats,” he said, stressing that this is only a possible hypothesis.
Beijing on Wednesday categorically rejected WHO’s call for better cooperation on the origin of the Covid-19 epidemic, objecting to a new investigation, additional data and “politicization” of the file.
The Beijing authorities reiterated their months-long position that the joint preliminary investigation was sufficient, arguing that requests for additional data were politically motivated, according to QNA.
In recent months, WHO has again raised the possibility that the Covid-19 virus has leaked from a laboratory that Washington has repeatedly spoken of in a context of political rivalry with Beijing, asking all countries, particularly China, to publish “all data on Corona.”
A team of international experts sent by WHO visited Wuhan in January 2021 to conduct a preliminary study on the origin of the virus, but their report, developed in collaboration with Chinese experts, did not lead to a final conclusion on the origin of the virus, which was first detected in late 2019.
رجح خبير منظمة الصحة العالمية بيتر إمباريك أن المصاب “رقم صفر” بفيروس كورونا قد يكون أصيب بالفيروس في مختبر علمي أو أثناء أبحاث ميدانية في الصين.
ووفقا لموقع روسيا اليوم فقد قال الخبير إن “إحدى الفرضيات المحتملة تشير إلى أن أحد الباحثين أصيب بفيروس كورونا في الميدان أثناء جمع عينات من الخفافيش التي ينتقل الفيروس منها إلى الإنسان… وفي هذا الحالة هو موظف في المختبر وليس أحد السكان أو أي شخص آخر يتعامل مع الخفافيش” مؤكدا أن هذه ليست إلا فرضية محتملة.
وكانت بكين قد رفضت أمس بشكل قاطع الدعوة التي وجهتها لها منظمة الصحة العالمية لتعاون أفضل في ما يخص منشأ وباء كوفيد-19، معترضة على إجراء تحقيق جديد وإعطاء بيانات إضافية و”تسييس” الملف.
وأكدت سلطات بكين على موقفها الذي دافعت عنه لأشهر المتمثل في أن التحقيق الأولي المشترك كاف، معتبرة أن طلبات الحصول على بيانات إضافية لها دوافع سياسية خفية وفقا لـ “قنا”.
وفي الأشهر الأخيرة، طرحت منظمة الصحة مجددا فرضية تسرب فيروس “كوفيد-19” من مختبر التي تحدثت واشنطن مرارا عنها في سياق من الخصومة السياسية مع بكين، حيث طلبت من الدول كافة خصوصا الصين نشر “جميع البيانات حول كورونا”.
وزار فريق من الخبراء الدوليين أرسلته منظمة الصحة العالمية مدينة ووهان في يناير 2021 لإجراء دراسة أولية حول منشأ الفيروس، إلا أن تقريرهم الذي وضع بالتعاون مع خبراء صينيين، لم يفضي إلى التوصل إلى نتيجة نهائية حول منشأ الفيروس الذي رصدت أول اصابات به أواخر عام 2019 .
