Amir chairs second meeting of Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment

Doha: The Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment, chaired on Monday the Council’s second meeting in 2020 that was held by video conference.
The Deputy Amir HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Deputy Chairman of the Council, attended the meeting along with HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani, Executive Member of the Council and Their Excellencies the members of the Council.
The Council discussed topics on the meeting agenda and took the appropriate measures regarding them.
The Council also reviewed a number of presentations made on a number of topics, including:
First:
The economic repercussions of the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and ways to address and reduce its economic and financial effects, as well as the most important measures taken by the State and future steps in this regard.
Second:
Progress achieved in implementing the Second National Development Strategy 2018-2022 within the framework of the Qatar National Vision 2030.
Third:
The latest developments in the energy sector and investment affairs, in addition to developments in the implementation of the Qatarization program for the energy sector, as well as efforts being made to develop local suppliers, localize technical knowledge and increase capabilities of local competencies.
Fourth:
What has been accomplished in terms of the services of the Single Window program that aimed at unifying procedures for establishing businesses by the citizen and the investor through one electronic service window.

ترأس حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى، رئيس المجلس الأعلى للشؤون الاقتصادية والاستثمار، الاجتماع الثاني للمجلس لعام 2020 والذي عقد صباح اليوم عبر تقنية الاتصال المرئي.
شارك في الاجتماع سمو الشيخ عبدالله بن حمد آل ثاني نائب الأمير، نائب رئيس المجلس، ومعالي الشيخ خالد بن خليفة بن عبدالعزيز آل ثاني، رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الداخلية – العضو التنفيذي للمجلس – وأصحاب السعادة أعضاء المجلس.
ناقش المجلس الموضوعات المدرجة على جدول أعمال الاجتماع واتخذ القرارات المناسبة بشأنها. كما اطلع المجلس على عدد من العروض المقدمة حول عدد من المواضيع، ومنها:
أولا:
التداعيات الاقتصادية لانتشار فيروس كورونا المستجد (كوفيد-19) وسبل مواجهة ذلك للحد من آثاره الاقتصادية والمالية، وأهم الإجراءات التي قامت الدولة باتخاذها، والخطوات المستقبلية في هذا الشأن.
ثانيا:
التقدم المحرز في تنفيذ استراتيجية التنمية الوطنية الثانية 2018-2022 في إطار رؤية قطر الوطنية 2030.
ثالثا:
آخر المستجدات في قطاع الطاقة وشؤون الاستثمار، بالإضافة إلى مستجدات تنفيذ برنامج توطين قطاع الطاقة في الدولة، والجهود المبذولة لتطوير الموردين المحليين، وتوطين المعرفة التقنية، وزيادة قدرات الكفاءات المحلية.
رابعا:
ما تم إنجازه من خدمات برنامج النافذة الواحدة الهادف إلى توحيد إجراءات تأسيس الأعمال للمواطن والمستثمر من خلال نافذة خدمية إلكترونية واحدة.
