Amir Chairs 3rd Meeting of Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment

Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment, chaired on Wednesday the Council’s third meeting in 2020 held at the Amiri Diwan.
HH the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Deputy Chairman of the Council, attended the meeting along with HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani, Executive Member of the Council and Their Excellencies the members of the Council.
The Council reviewed the decisions and recommendations of its first and second meetings of 2020, addressed the topics on its agenda and took appropriate decisions regarding them.
The Council also reviewed developments in energy affairs, investment affairs, general economic developments in the State, repercussions of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on the Qatari economy, and the economic measures and policies taken by the government to reduce these repercussions.

الدوحة: ترأس حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى، رئيس المجلس الأعلى للشؤون الاقتصادية والاستثمار، الاجتماع الثالث للمجلس لعام 2020 الذي عقد بالديوان الأميري صباح اليوم.
حضر الاجتماع سمو الشيخ عبدالله بن حمد آل ثاني نائب الأمير، نائب رئيس المجلس، ومعالي الشيخ خالد بن خليفة بن عبد العزيز آل ثاني رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الداخلية العضو التنفيذي للمجلس، وأصحاب السعادة أعضاء المجلس.
استعرض المجلس ما تم إنجازه من قرارات وتوصيات لاجتماعيه الأول والثاني للعام 2020، وتناول الموضوعات المدرجة على جدول أعماله واتخذ بشأنها القرارات المناسبة.
كما اطلع المجلس على مستجدات شؤون الطاقة، وشؤون الاستثمار، والمستجدات الاقتصادية العامة للدولة، وتداعيات جائحة فيروس كورونا /كوفيد-19/ على الاقتصاد القطري والإجراءات والسياسات الاقتصادية التي اتخذتها الحكومة للحد من تلك التداعيات.
