Dr. Al-Maslamani reveals the latest steps of the agreement to facilitate travel between GCC countries

Doha: Dr. Yousef Al-Maslamani, medical director of Hamad General Hospital, said that an agreement has been signed by GCC health ministers to facilitate traffic and access through ports in light of the Coronavirus Crisis .”Covid-19″.
During the social distance program on Qatar TV on Monday evening, he talked about the new features added to “Ehteraz” application during June, which included the health status of the Coronavirus’s recoveries and the result of their latest examination for Covid-19 and their health card number.
In response to a question regarding what was circulated during the previous days about the existence of GCC collaboration to link the Covid-19 applications used in each country, such as “Ehteraz” in Qatar, to facilitate traffic and entry, and where did these steps reach?
Dr. Al-Maslamani said: There is an agreement signed by the Ministers of Health, and there are legal channels through which it will pass, and we have started working on technical matters since the day of approval, whether in Ehteraz or at entry and exit ports, and the agreement is gradually being implemented when the system related to it is ready.
He stressed that all changes related to combating the Coronavirus “Covid-19”, which are approved by the Ministry of Health, have a scientific basis and that all suggestions are reviewed by the Scientific Committee.
Regarding the developments of Covid-19 in Qatar and the decrease in the number of infections to less than 200 cases on a daily basis, Dr. Al-Maslamani confirmed that the number of cases is decreasing due to society’s commitment to preventive measures and the high rate of vaccination, expecting that it will decrease more in the future and this will make us enter the next stage of the lifting of restrictions.
He stressed the importance of society’s commitment to the instructions announced by the government regarding combating Covid-19 to reduce the numbers of infections, explaining that the infection rate indicator is a statistic of cases for the past 7 days, meaning if you say today that the infection rate is less than 4%, this is for the past seven days.

الدوحة: قال الدكتور يوسف المسلماني المدير الطبي لمستشفى حمد العام إن هناك اتفاقية تم توقيعها من قبل وزراء الصحة في دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي لتسهيل حركة المرور والدخول عبر المنافذ في ظل أزمة كورونا “كوفيد 19”.
وتطرق خلال برنامج المسافة الاجتماعية على تلفزيون قطر مساء يوم الإثنين، إلى الامتيازات الجديدة التي تم إضافتها إلى تطبيق احتراز خلال يونيو الجاري والتي تضمنت الحالة الصحية للمتعافين من كورونا ونتيجة آخر فحص لكوفيد – 19 ورقم البطاقة الصحية.
ورداً على سؤال يتعلق بما تم تداوله خلال الأيام السابقة حول وجود تعاون خليجي لربط تطبيقات كوفد 19 المستخدمة في كل دولة مثل “احتراز” في قطر، لتسهيل حركة المرور والدخول، وأين وصلت هذه الخطوات؟، قال الدكتور المسلماني: هناك اتفاقية تم توقيعها من قبل وزراء الصحة، وهناك قنوات قانونية ستمر من خلالها، وبدأنا العمل على الأشياء الفنية منذ يوم الموافقة سواء في احتراز أو في منافذ الدخول والخروج، ويتم تدريجياً تطبيق الاتفاق عندما يكون النظام المتعلق به جاهزاً.
وأكد أن كل التغييرات المتعلقة بمكافحة فيروس كورونا “كوفيد 19″، التي توافق عليها وزارة الصحة لها أساس علمي وأن كل الاقتراحات تُدرس من قبل اللجنة العلمية.
وبشأن مستجدات كوفيد 19 في قطر وانخفاض أعداد الإصابات إلى أقل من 200 حالة بشكل يومي، أكد الدكتور المسلماني أن أعداد حالات الإصابة تتناقص بسبب التزام المجتمع بالإجراءات الوقائية وارتفاع نسبة التطعيم، متوقعاً أنها ستقل بشكل أكثر مستقبلاً وهذا سيجعلنا ندخل في المرحلة القادمة من عملية رفع القيود.
وشدد على أهمية التزام المجتمع بالتعليمات التي تعلن عنها الحكومة بشأن مكافحة كوفيد 19 لتقليل الأعداد، موضحاً أن مؤشر نسبة الإصابة هو إحصاء لإصابات 7 أيام ماضية، بمعنى إذا قلت اليوم إن نسبة العدوى أقل من 4% فهذا للسبع أيام الماضية.
