QC Continues to Carry out Relief Projects for the Affected in Gaza

Doha: Qatar Charity (QC), continues to implement urgent relief projects in the fields of food, shelter and medicine for the benefit of the affected in the Gaza Strip. The projects are being implemented in cooperation with the Palestinian Ministry of Social Development, as part of Qatar Charitys Help Palestine drive.

QC said in a press release that Qatar Charitys Gaza office, through its relief team, has recently distributed food parcels to the affected people in the five governorates of the Gaza Strip, benefiting nearly 1,000 families. This is the second project implemented by Qatar Charity since the beginning of the recent crisis in the Gaza Strip. Earlier, it has provided blankets and mattresses for hundreds of the displaced.

QC added that other relief projects are expected to be implemented in the coming days to support various sectors, especially the health sector, which will be provided with the necessary medicines and medical consumables and beds. Support will also be extended to the displaced whose house were destroyed by providing rent.

Qatar Charity, through its office, has been implementing humanitarian and development projects for more than two decades, for the benefit of poor families in the Gaza Strip. The projects are implemented in the fields of education, health, water and sanitation, and income generation.

The number of those sponsored by Qatar Charity is more than 18,000. The sponsored includes orphans, poor families, and people with special needs. During Ramadan, more than 8000 food parcels were provided for the poor sponsored by Qatar Charity as part of its “Ramadan of Hope” campaign.

الدوحة: أعلنت جمعية قطر الخيرية عن مواصلة تنفيذ مشاريع إغاثية عاجلة للمتضررين في قطاع غزة، من خلال حملتها “أغث فلسطين”، وذلك في مجالات الغذاء والإيواء والدواء وبالتعاون مع وزارة التنمية الاجتماعية الفلسطينية.

وقالت الجمعية، في بيان، إن الفرق الإغاثية التابعة لمكتبها في غزة قامت مؤخرا بتوزيع طرود غذائية على المتضررين من النازحين والمهدمة بيوتهم بمختلف محافظات قطاع غزة، استفاد منها نحو ألف أسرة متضررة.. مشيرة إلى أن هذا هو المشروع الثاني الذي تنفذه قطر الخيرية منذ بدء العدوان الأخير على قطاع غزة، وقد سبقه توفير أغطية وفرش لمئات النازحين.

ومن المتوقع أن يتم تنفيذ مشاريع إغاثية أخرى خلال الأيام المقبلة لدعم مختلف القطاعات وعلى رأسها القطاع الصحي من خلال توفير الأدوية والمستهلكات الطبية اللازمة لغرف العمليات وغرف العناية وتزويد المستشفيات بأسرة طبية.

كما ستكون هناك جملة من المشاريع الداعمة للأسر النازحة والمهدمة بيوتها من خلال توفير بدل إيجار مسكن.

وتقوم قطر الخيرية من خلال مكتبها بتنفيذ مشاريع إنسانية وتنموية لصالح الأسر الفقيرة في قطاع غزة في المجالات التعليمية والصحية والمياه والإصحاح والمشاريع المدرة للدخل، كما يبلغ عدد مكفوليها من الأيتام والأسر الفقيرة والمعاقين ما يزيد عن 18 ألف مكفول، وقد قدمت قطر الخيرية خلال شهر رمضان ما يزيد عن 8000 آلاف طرد غذائي للفئات الفقيرة المكفولة لديها ضمن حملتها “رمضان الأمل”.
