Qatar Charity allocates $5 million to support Palestinians
قطر الخيرية تخصص ٥ ملايين دولار لدعم الفلسطينيين
Doha: Qatar Charity has announced the allocation of US$5 million as part of the #Help_Palestine campaign to support the urgent humanitarian requirements of our people in Palestine.
Qatar Charity said on its website that a new humanitarian tragedy is increasing the suffering of our people in Palestine, hundreds of wounded urgently need treatment and medicine, and dozens of families have become homeless, without food or medicine after their homes were demolished.
Qatar Charity called on the public to donate to the relief campaign and contribute to alleviating the suffering of our Palestinian people, by providing urgent health services to those affected, distributing personal hygiene bags and preventing the Corona epidemic, rehabilitating and equipping health centres and hospitals to accommodate the greatest number of patients and injured, and providing essential food supplies for affected families.
Qatar Charity’s campaign coincides with the International Union of Muslim Scholars’ Solidarity Festival with Jerusalem and Gaza held yesterday evening under the theme “Palestine Rises Up” in the Imam Mohammed bin Abdul Wahab Mosque area.
The festival saw the mass participation of tens of thousands of citizens, residents and personalities from Qatar and Palestine, led by Mr. Ismail Haniyeh, head of Hamas’ political bureau, and Sheikh Ali Mohieddin Al-Qura Dagi, Secretary General of the International Union of Muslim Scholars.
In an epic scene of mass solidarity that embodies the support of the State of Qatar, the leadership, government and people of the Palestinian brothers and those stationed in Al-Aqsa, the flags of Qatar, Palestine and the Arab states embraced and chants were united to show support of the heroes of the palestinian people in the face of the aggression of the Israeli occupation.
الدوحة: أعلنت قطر الخيرية عن تخصيص مبلغ 5 ملايين دولار أمريكي ضمن حملة #اغث_فلسطين وذلك لدعم المتطلبات الإنسانية العاجلة لأهلنا في فلسطين.
وقالت قطر الخيرية عبر موقعها الإلكتروني إن مأساة إنسانية جديدة تزيد من معاناة أهلنا في فلسطين، مئات الجرحى بحاجة عاجلة إلى العلاج والدواء، وعشرات الأسر صارت بلا مأوى ولا غذاء أو دواء بعد أن تهدمت منازلها.
ودعت قطر الخيرية الجمهور إلى التبرع في الحملة الإغاثية والمساهمة في تخفيف معاناة أهلنا الفلسطينيين، عبر توفير الخدمات الصحية العاجلة للمتضررين، وتوزيع حقائب النظافة الشخصية والوقاية من وباء كورونا، وتأهيل وتجهيز المراكز الصحية والمستشفيات لاستيعاب أكبر قدر من المرضى والمصابين، وتوفير المواد الغذائية الضرورية للأسر المتضررة.
وتأتي حملة قطر الخيرية بالتزامن مع مهرجان التضامن مع غزة والقدس وفلسطين الذي أقامه الاتحاد العالمي لعلماء المسلمين مساء الأمس تحت شعار “فلسطين تنتفض” في منطقة جامع الإمام محمد بن عبدالوهاب.
وشهد المهرجان مشاركة حاشدة لعشرات الآلاف من المواطنين والمقيمين وشخصيات من قطر وفلسطين وفي مقدمتهم السيد إسماعيل هنية رئيس المكتب السياسي لحركة “حماس”، والشيخ الدكتور علي محيي الدين القره داغي الأمين العام للاتحاد العالمي لعلماء المسلمين.
وفي مشهد ملحمي تضامني حاشد يجسد دعم دولة قطر قيادة وحكومة وشعباً للأشقاء الفلسطينيين والمرابطين في الأقصى، تعانقت أعلام قطر وفلسطين والدول العربية وتوحدت الهتافات لدعم ومؤازرة ونصرة أبطال الشعب الفلسطيني الشقيق في مواجهة عدوان الاحتلال الإسرائيلي.
