Doha: Residents of umm Ghuwailina complained of a neglected property turning into a dump and the spread of bad smells due to the dumping of various types of organic, plastic and tyre waste.
In special statements to Al-Raya, they called on the Ministry of Municipality and Environment to act quickly to remove waste that harms the population, as well as to remove the neglected property, which has recently been converted into a landfill where various types of waste are thrown uncensored.
They stressed that such practices contribute to reduced awareness of hygiene and the spread of concepts of non-application of censorship, which increases them and distorts aesthetic appearance.
They called for the activation of deterrent laws for such irregularities that have affected the public landscape, as these residues are often a haven for many insects and other harmful reptiles, as well as being composed of flammable elements that make them the cause of fires. The lens of Al-Raya observed the transformation of a neglected property in umm Ghuwailina in Area 27 at 861st Street behind umm Ghuwailina Health Centre.

الدوحة: اشتكى عددٌ من سكان منطقة أم غويلينة من تحول عقار مهمل إلى مكب للنفايات وانتشار الروائح الكريهة بسبب إلقاء مختلف أنواع المخلفات العضوية والبلاستيكية والإطارات.
وطالب هؤلاء في تصريحات خاصة لـ الراية وزارة البلدية والبيئة بسرعة التحرك لإزالة المخلفات التي تؤذي السكان، فضلاً عن إزالة العقار المهمل الذي تحول في الفترة الأخيرة إلى مكب يُلقى فيه مختلف أنواع المخلفات دون رقابة.
وأكّدوا أن تلك الممارسات تساهم في انخفاض الوعي بالمحافظة على النظافة العامة، وانتشار مفاهيم عدم تطبيق الرقابة، ما يزيد من تلك الممارسات ويشوّه المظهر الجماليّ.
وطالبوا بتفعيل القوانين الرادعة لمثل هذه المخالفات التي أضرت بالمشهد العام، حيث تمثّل هذه المخلفات في الكثير من الأحيان الملاذ للعديد من الحشرات وغيرها من الزواحف الضارّة، بالإضافة إلى كونها تتركب من عناصر سريعة الاشتعال ما يجعلها من أسباب الحرائق. ورصدت عدسة الراية تحوُّلَ عقار مهمل في منطقة أم غويلينة في المنطقة رقم 27 بالشارع رقم 861 وذلك خلف مركز أم غويلينة الصحيّ.
