Minister of Public Health Inspects New COVID-19 Vaccination Center in Doha Industrial Area

Doha: HE Minister of Public Health Dr. Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari visited on Sunday the new COVID-19 vaccination center in the Doha Industrial Area, which is due to open on Monday.
The Vaccination Center Industrial Area has been established at the old Medical Commission facility and is the result of a collaboration between the Ministry of Public Health, Hamad Medical Corporation and Qatar Charity, with support from the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and ConocoPhillips-Qatar.
The opening of this center further strengthens the National COVID-19 Vaccination Program, adding to more than 35 vaccination centers across Qatar, and will significantly boost access to COVID-19 vaccines for people living and working in the Doha Industrial Area and surrounding regions. The center will administer first and second dose vaccinations in line with the national priority groups and enable Qatar to continue expanding the national program which has already administered more than 1,079,000 doses.
The vaccination center will open six days a week from 7am to 7pm and operate on a strict invite only basis for the following priority groups: People 40 years of age and above regardless of their health conditions; people with moderate chronic medical conditions; and key workers in different industries.
Dr. Khalid Abdulnoor, Senior Consultant Emergency Medicine at HMC and lead for the Vaccination Center Industrial Area, said: “I would like to thank all the partners involved in the preparations over the past few weeks for their support. The opening of the vaccination center will greatly enhance access to the vaccines for people in the Doha Industrial Area. With more than 120 vaccination stations set up within the center the facility has capacity to vaccinate large numbers of people each day.”
“Access to the vaccination center will be by invitation only and we will not accept any walk-in people. Individuals should bring their QID, health card or passport with them and must show their green Ehteraz status. The vaccination process will take approximately 30 minutes from the time of arrival at the center and includes a period of observation where medical teams will monitor vaccine recipients for any signs of side effects,” explained Dr. Abdulnoor.
The Vaccination Center Industrial Area becomes the fourth specialist vaccination center to be established to support the delivery of the vaccination program at all 27 primary health centers, following the opening of the vaccination center at Qatar National Convention Center and the two drive through vaccination centers, in Lusail and Al Wakra.

الدوحة: قامت سعادة الدكتورة حنان محمد الكواري وزير الصحة العامة بزيارة تفقدية يوم الأمس للمركز الجديد للتطعيم ضد فيروس كورونا (كوفيد-19) في المنطقة الصناعية بالدوحة والمقرر افتتاحه يوم غد الاثنين.
ويمثل المركز الجديد الذي أقيم في مقر المبنى السابق للقوميسيون الطبي، ثمرة جهود تعاونية بين وزارة الصحة العامة ومؤسسة حمد الطبية وقطر الخيرية، ودعم كل من وزارة الداخلية ووزارة التجارة والصناعة وكونوكو فيليبس-قطر.
وسيسهم افتتاح هذا المركز في تعزيز البرنامج الوطني للتطعيم ضد كوفيد-19، حيث سيمثل إضافة جديدة لأكثر من 35 مركزا للتطعيم متوفرة حاليا بمختلف أنحاء دولة قطر.
كما سيعزز بشكل كبير من قدرة الأشخاص الذين يعيشون ويعملون في المنطقة الصناعية بالدوحة والمناطق المحيطة بها على الحصول على التطعيم ضد كوفيد-19.
سيقدم المركز الجديد جرعات التطعيم الأولى والثانية وفقا للمعايير الوطنية الخاصة بالفئات ذات الأولوية، وسيمكن دولة قطر من مواصلة توسيع البرنامج الوطني للتطعيم ضد كوفيد-19، والذي تم من خلاله حتى الآن إعطاء أكثر من مليون و79 ألف جرعة من لقاحات كوفيد-19 لأفراد المجتمع.
وسيعمل مركز التطعيم على مدار ستة أيام في الأسبوع من الساعة 7 صباحا حتى 7 مساء، وسيستقبل فقط الأفراد الذين تمت دعوتهم للحصول على التطعيم من الفئات ذات الأولوية، وتتضمن الأشخاص بعمر 40 عاما فما فوق بغض النظر عن حالاتهم الصحية، والأشخاص المصابين بحالات مرضية مزمنة متوسطة الشدة، والعاملين الأساسيين من مختلف القطاعات.
وقال الدكتور خالد عبد النور، استشاري أول طب الطوارئ بمؤسسة حمد الطبية وقائد مركز التطعيم بالمنطقة الصناعية إن افتتاح هذا المركز يساهم بشكل كبير في تعزيز وصول أفراد المجتمع بالمنطقة الصناعية في الدوحة لهذه الخدمة، والحصول على التطعيم حيث تم تجهيزه بـ 120 محطة تطعيم لضمان قدرته على تقديم اللقاح لأعداد كبيرة من الأشخاص كل يوم.
وأوضح أن دخول مركز التطعيم سيسمح فقط للأشخاص الذين لديهم دعوات ولن يتم استقبال أي شخص دون موعد مسبق، ولذلك يجب على الأفراد القادمين للتطعيم إحضار البطاقة الشخصية، البطاقة الصحية أو جواز السفر وإبراز الحالة الخضراء على تطبيق احتراز.
وتستغرق عملية التطعيم 30 دقيقة تقريبا من وقت الوصول للمركز، وتتضمن فترة مراقبة طبية تقوم خلالها الفرق الطبية بمتابعة حالة متلقي اللقاح للتأكد من عدم ظهور أي علامات للإصابة بأعراض جانبية بعد تلقي اللقاح.
الجدير بالذكر أن مركز التطعيم ضد كوفيد-19 في المنطقة الصناعية بالدوحة أصبح رابع مركز تطعيم متخصص يتم إنشاؤه لدعم تقديم البرنامج الوطني للتطعيم ضد كوفيد-19 الذي يجري تنفيذه في جميع مراكز الرعاية الصحية الأولية الـ 27، وذلك بعد افتتاح مركز التطعيم في مركز قطر الوطني للمؤتمرات ومركزين للتطعيم داخل السيارات في لوسيل والوكرة .
