MME Launch Field studies to Enumerate Meadows
الوزارة تطلق الدراسات الميدانية لحصر الروض بالدولة

Doha: The Ministry of Municipality and Environment, represented by the Department of Protection and Wildlife announced the start of field studies to enumerate the meadows in the country by specialized field committees formed by the work team for the rehabilitation of Qatari mainland.
The Ministry stated that these field studies began in the presence of the field sub-committees formed of environmental inspectors affiliated with the Environmental Protection Reserves & Wildlife Department, specialists and experts from the participating entities, namely the Department of Environmental Protection, Natural Reserves, and Wildlife in addition to the Center for Geographic Information Systems.
The specialized work team has formed, on its part, specialized field work teams that have been distributed to different regions of the country, supported by Qatari environmental inspectors who are familiar of these areas and the meadow names.
Consultants in geographic information systems, as well as a group of experts and specialists in vegetation survey studies, are being hired, with a special field survey form prepared, noting that the process began by surveying the areas of Mazroua, Al Jameela, Al Khor and Al Shamal.

الدوحة: أعلنت وزارة البلدية والبيئة ممثلة بإدارة الحماية والحياة الفطرية عن بدء الدراسات الميدانية لحصر الروض بالدولة من قبل لجان ميدانية متخصصة مشكلة من قبل فريق عمل إعادة تأهيل البر القطري.
وذكرت الوزارة أن هذه الدراسات الميدانية قد بدأت بحضور اللجان الفرعية الميدانية المشكلة من مفتشين بيئيين تابعين لقسم حماية البيئة البرية، ومختصين وخبراء من الجهات المشاركة وهي إدارات الحماية والحياة الفطرية والمحميات الطبيعية والشؤون الزراعية والحدائق العامة، إضافة إلى مركز نظم المعلومات الجغرافية.
جدير بالذكر أن فريق العمل المختص قد شكل من ناحيته فرق عمل ميدانية متخصصة جرى توزيعها على المناطق المختلفة بالدولة، ومدعمة بمفتشين بيئيين قطريين على علم بهذه المناطق ومسميات الروض.
كما تتم الاستعانة باستشاريين في نظم المعلومات الجغرافية وكذا مجموعة من الخبراء والمختصين بدراسات مسح الغطاء النباتي، مع إعداد استمارة خاصة بالمسح الميداني، علما أن العملية بدأت بمسح مناطق المزروعة والجميلية والخور والشمال.
