DIFI Conference on Marriage Opens Today

Doha: Supporting the formation and maintenance of healthy marriages in Qatar and across the world will be the subject of a three-day global conference, organized by Doha International Family Institute (DIFI), a member of Qatar Foundation, starting on Tuesday.

With changing perceptions and attitudes towards marriage, coupled with the challenges of fluctuating social, economic, cultural, and psychological conditions individuals have been facing, Doha International Family Institute (DIFI) remains committed to its mission of preserving the wellbeing and stability of families both in Qatar and around the world.

Titled “Marriage: Formation and Constituents of Stability”, the conference offers a platform for researchers, social science experts, NGOs, civil society organizations, policymakers, and young people to delve into the different facets of matrimony through a lineup of interactive sessions.

The virtual international conference will see hundreds of people from across the globe attend in-depth discussions on the socioeconomic challenges.

The conference will feature 18 discussions with more than 60 speakers, who will offer their expertise and insight on specific topics surrounding matrimony and marriage formation.

Through this global conference, DIFI aims to advocate for the development and implementation of policies, interventions, protection programs and best practices that preserve the wellbeing and stability of marital relations worldwide.

الدوحة: ينطلق اليوم /الثلاثاء/ المؤتمر الدولي لمعهد الدوحة الدولي للأسرة، عضو مؤسسة قطر، والذي سيعقد عبر تقنية الاتصال المرئي تحت عنوان /الزواج: التأسيس ومقومات الاستمرار/، ويستمر ثلاثة أيام.

وسيركز المنتدى، خلال جلساته النقاشية الثماني عشرة والتي ستستضيف أكثر من ستين متحدثًا، على دعم تأسيس الزواج السعيد على مرتكزات سليمة ويتناول أدوات تقويمه والحفاظ على استمرارهِ، في قطر وفي جميع أنحاء العالم.

ويأتي هذا المؤتمر في إطار التزام معهد الدوحة الدولي للأسرة بمهمته في الحفاظ على سلامة الأسرة واستقرارها في قطر والعالم، في ظل تغير المفاهيم والمواقف تجاه الزواج، وذلك إلى جانب التحديات التي فرضتها تقلبات الظروف الاجتماعية والاقتصادية والثقافية والنفسية على الأفراد.

وسيشارك في المؤتمر الدولي الافتراضي، مئات الأفراد من جميع أنحاء العالم وسيحضرون المناقشات المتعمقة حول التحديات الاجتماعية والاقتصادية المتعلقة بالزواج.

وسيوفر المؤتمر للباحثين وخبراء العلوم الاجتماعية والمنظمات غير الحكومية ومنظمات المجتمع المدني وصانعي السياسات والشباب، منصة للتعمق في الجوانب المختلفة للزواج عبر مجموعة من الجلسات التفاعلية.

ويسعى معهد الدوحة الدولي للأسرة من خلال إقامة هذا المؤتمر إلى تطوير وتنفيذ السياسات والتدخلات وبرامج الحماية وأفضل الممارسات للمحافظة على استمرار العلاقات الزوجية وسلامتها واستقرارها في جميع أنحاء العالم.
