Al Emadi signs agreement to establish a hospital in Rafah at a cost of $ 24 million

Doha: Chairman of Qatar’s Gaza Reconstruction Committee, Ambassador Mohammed Al Emadi on Saturday signed an agreement to start the implementation of the first phase of the project to establish Hamad Bin Jassim General Hospital in Rafah at a cost of about $5 million.

According to the committee’s website, the agreement signing ceremony was held between His Excellency Ambassador Al-Emadi and Al-Ahram Al-Thahabi Company for General Trade and Contracting, at the new headquarters of the Qatari Committee in Gaza, in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Palestinian Ministry of Health, Dr. Youssef Abu Al-Rish, and Mr. Khaled Al-Hardan, Vice-Chairman of the Committee, heralded the start of the project implementation works in Rafah Governorate, south of the Gaza Strip.

The project will be implemented under the direct supervision of the Qatari Committee and in cooperation with the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Sultan neighborhood, west of Rafah, at a total cost of $ 24 million for all project phases, with a generous donation from the Jassim and Hamad Bin Jassim Charitable Foundation in Qatar.

For his part, Ambassador Mohammed Al-Emadi affirmed that the State of Qatar aims, through the completion of this project, to strengthen the health system in the Rafah Governorate to ensure the continuity of providing and improving services provided to patients, indicating that this project is the first of its kind in the Governorate of Rafah.

His Excellency explained that the project will be built on a land of 50 dunums, which will include multiple buildings and facilities with different specialties, the most important of which are surgery, internal medicine, kidneys, and others, in addition to outpatient clinics, with a total capacity of 355 beds, through which many qualitative and distinctive services are provided to all patients.

الدوحة: وقّع السفير محمد العمادي، رئيس اللجنة القطرية لإعادة إعمار غزة، اليوم السبت، اتفاقية البدء في أعمال تنفيذ المرحلة الأولى من مشروع إنشاء مستشفى حمد بن جاسم العام في رفح، والبالغ تكلفتها حوالي 5 مليون دولار أمريكي.

ووفق الموقع الإلكتروني للجنة، أقيمت مراسم توقيع الاتفاقية بين سعادة السفير العمادي وشركة الأهرام الذهبية للتجارة العامة والمقاولات، في المقر الجديد للجنة القطرية بغزة، بحضور وكيل وزارة الصحة الفلسطينية د. يوسف أبو الريش، والأستاذ خالد الحردان نائب رئيس اللجنة، إيذانا ببدء أعمال تنفيذ المشروع في محافظة رفح جنوب قطاع غزة.

ومن المقرر أن تنفذ أعمال المشروع بإشراف مباشر من قِبل اللجنة القطرية وبالتعاون مع وزارة الصحة الفلسطينية، في حي السلطان غرب مدينة رفح، بتكلفة إجمالية تبلغ 24 مليون دولار أمريكي لجميع مراحل المشروع، بتبرع كريم من مؤسسة جاسم وحمد بن جاسم الخيرية في قطر.

وبدوره، أكد سعادة السفير محمد العمادي أن دولة قطر تأمل من خلال إنجاز هذا المشروع تعزيز المنظومة الصحية في محافظة رفح وضمان استمرارية تقديم وتحسين الخدمات المقدمة للمرضى، مشيرا إلى أن هذا المشروع يعدّ الأول من نوعه في محافظة رفح.

وأوضح سعادته أنه من المقرر أن يُقام المشروع على أرض بمساحة 50 دونما، ستشمل مبانٍ ومرافق متعددة بتخصصات مختلفة، أهمها الجراحة والباطنة والكلى وغيرها، بالإضافة للعيادات الخارجية، بسعة إجمالية 355 سريرا، ليتم من خلاله تقديم العديد من الخدمات النوعية والمميزة لجميع المرضى.
