QCRG Begins Disbursing Cash Assistance to Families in Need on Thursday

Gaza: HE Chairman of Qatar’s Gaza Reconstruction Committee Ambassador Mohammed Al Emadi affirmed that the Committee, in coordination with Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD), will start the process of disbursing cash assistance to families in need in the Gaza Strip next Thursday.
Ambassador Al Emadi stated that 100,000 families in the Gaza Strip will benefit from the cash assistance, at the rate of $100 per family.
His Excellency indicated that the distribution process will take place through the branches of the Postal Bank in the sector, as part of the preventive measures taken to confront the coronavirus outbreak, in order to preserve the safety of the beneficiaries and ensure their commitment to preventive measures, sterilization, and social distancing.
He stressed that the distribution process will be carried out under the full supervision of the Qatar Committee’s staff and in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and Ministry of Social Development in Gaza, in a manner that ensure the highest standards of safety and security for the beneficiaries and workers in the distribution centers in light of the coronavirus outbreak in the Gaza Strip.

غزة: أكد سعادة السفير محمد العمادي، رئيس اللجنة القطرية لإعادة إعمار غزة، أن اللجنة وبالتعاون مع صندوق قطر للتنمية، ستبدأ عملية صرف المساعدات النقدية للأسر المتعففة في قطاع غزة يوم /الخميس/ المقبل.
وأوضح السفير العمادي أن المنحة ستصرف لـ 100 ألف أسرة مستورة ومتعففة في محافظات قطاع غزة، بواقع 100 دولار لكل عائلة.
وأشار سعادته إلى أن عملية التوزيع ستتم عبر فروع بنك البريد في محافظات القطاع، ضمن إجراءات الوقاية المتبعة لمواجهة تفشي فيروس “كورونا”، حفاظا على سلامة المستفيدين ولضمان التزامهم بإجراءات الوقاية والتعقيم والتباعد الاجتماعي.
وشدد على أن عملية التوزيع ستتم بإشراف كامل من طواقم اللجنة القطرية وبالتعاون مع كل من وزارة الاتصالات وتكنولوجيا المعلومات ووزارة التنمية الاجتماعية بغزة، بشكل يضمن تحقيق أعلى معايير الأمان والسلامة التامة للمستفيدين والعاملين في مراكز التوزيع، في ظل انتشار فيروس “كورونا” في قطاع غزة.
