Ministry Showcases Expertise in Radiation, Nuclear Equipment

Doha: The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME), represented by the Department of Radiation and Chemicals Protection, organized a presentation via videoconferencing, on the most important experiences of the State of Qatar in coordination with international organizations regarding submitting applications for radiation and nuclear devices and equipment, in cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
The presentation, which was praised by the IAEA and presented by Engineer Hamad Salah Ibrahim from the Radiation and Chemicals Protection Department at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, dealt with the efforts of the State of Qatar in how to coordinate with the IAEA and other international organizations regarding submitting applications for devices and equipment for radiation and nuclear fields that are used in radiological detection, specialized laboratory analyzes and other devices that are used in agricultural, industrial and medical fields.
This presentation came upon an official invitation made by the IAEA to the State of Qatar among countries of Asia and the Middle East.

الدوحة: نظمت وزارة البلدية والبيئة، ممثلة بإدارة الوقاية من الإشعاع والمواد الكيميائية، عرضا تقديميا عبر تقنية الاتصال المرئي، حول أهم الخبرات والتجارب الناجحة لدولة قطر في التنسيق مع المنظمات الدولية بشأن تقديم طلبات الحصول على الأجهزة والمعدات الإشعاعية والنووية وذلك بالتعاون مع الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية.
وتناول العرض، الذي أشادت به الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية وقدمه المهندس حمد صلاح إبراهيم من إدارة الوقاية من الإشعاع والمواد الكيميائية بوزارة البلدية والبيئة، جهود دولة قطر في كيفية التنسيق مع الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية والمنظمات الدولية الأخرى بشأن تقديم طلبات الحصول على الأجهزة والمعدات الخاصة بالمجالات الإشعاعية والنووية التي تستخدم في الكشف الإشعاعي والتحاليل المختبرية المتخصصة والأجهزة الأخرى التي تستخدم في المجالات الزراعية والصناعية والطبية.
وجاء هذا العرض بناءً على دعوة رسمية قدمتها الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية لدولة قطر من بين دول آسيا والشرق الأوسط.
