Qatar Participates in 30th Meeting of GCC Agricultural Cooperation Committee

Doha: The State of Qatar participated on Sunday in the 30th ministerial meeting of the GCC Agricultural Cooperation Committee that was held via video conference technology.

Qatar was represented during the meeting by HE Minister of Municipality and Environment Eng. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie.

A number of key topics on the agenda related to joint GCC action in the agriculture, livestock and fisheries were discussed, including the follow-up of the decisions issued at the 29th meeting of the committee, the discussion of the law (system) of organic inputs and products and its executive regulations, and the GCC unified law (system) for agricultural quarantine, the unified collective purchase of veterinary medicines and vaccines, and the law (system) of precautionary measures for protection from infectious and epidemic animal diseases and its implementing regulations.

In the field of fisheries, the Ministers discussed the program to inspect the landing of kingfish, the guideline for fish farming, the unified law (system) for the protection, development and exploitation of the living aquatic wealth of the GCC States and its executive regulation, the non-tariff restrictions, the General Secretariat paper on promoting joint Gulf action (post-Coronavirus pandemic), and the Secretariat paper on food security.

الدوحة: شاركت دولة قطر اليوم، في الاجتماع الوزاري الـ/30/ للجنة التعاون الزراعي بدول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية، وذلك عبر تقنية الاتصال المرئي.

مثل الدولة خلال الاجتماع سعادة المهندس عبدالله بن عبدالعزيز بن تركي السبيعي وزير البلدية والبيئة.

وقد تم مناقشة عدد من المحاور الرئيسية المدرجة بجدول الأعمال والمتعلقة بالعمل الخليجي المشترك في قطاعات الزراعة والثروة الحيوانية والسمكية، ومن بينها متابعة القرارات الصادرة في الاجتماع التاسع والعشرين للجنة، ومناقشة قانون (نظام) المدخلات والمنتجات العضوية ولائحته التنفيذية، وقانون (نظام) الحجر الزراعي الموحد، والشراء الجماعي الموحد للأدوية واللقاحات البيطرية، والخطة الخليجية الاسترشادية لمكافحة الأمراض الحيوانية، وقانون (نظام) الاجراءات الوقائية من الأمراض الحيوانية المعدية والوبائية ومكافحتها بدول المجلس.

وفي مجال الثروة السمكية، ناقش أصحاب السعادة الوزراء برنامج معاينة إنزال أسماك الكنعد، والدليل الاسترشادي للاستزراع السمكي، والقانون (النظام) الموحد لحماية وتنمية واستغلال الثروة المائية الحية بدول المجلس، والقيود غير الجمركية، وورقة الأمانة العامة حول تعزيز العمل الخليجي المشترك (مرحلة ما بعد جائحة كورونا)، وورقة الأمانة العامة بشأن الأمن الغذائي.
