Ministry Issues 40 Violations during October

Doha: The Ministry of Economy and Commerce carried out intensive inspections last October to monitor the compliance of shops with their obligations under the law. The campaigns resulted in the seizure of 40 violations.

In a press release, the Ministry stated that the violations varied between the practice of activities not mentioned in the license, the failure to meet the general and special requirements for shops, the opening and management of a store without a license and a number of violating street vendors practicing an activity without a commercial license.

These inspection campaigns come within the framework of its keenness to regulate and monitor markets and commercial activities in the country, and to monitor the extent of compliance with the laws and regulations governing the practice of commercial activities with the aim of controlling violations and uncovering violations.

The ministry stressed that it will not tolerate any violations of the Consumer Protection Law and its regulations, and will intensify its inspection campaigns to crack down on violations. The ministry said it will refer those who violate laws and ministerial decrees to competent authorities, who will in turn take appropriate action against perpetrators in order to protect consumer rights.

The ministry urges all consumers to report violations to the Consumer Protection and Anti-Commercial Fraud Department through the following channels: Call Centre: 1600, Email: infomec.gov.qa, the accounts of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce on social networks; Twitter MEC_QATAR, Instagram MEC_QATAR and the application of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce on iPhone and Android devices MEC_QATAR.

الدوحة: أسفرت الحملات التفتيشية المكثفة التي نفذتها وزارة التجارة والصناعة على الأسواق والمحلات التجارية خلال شهر أكتوبر الماضي، عن ضبط وتحرير (40) مخالفة متنوعة لعدد من المحالات والباعة المتجولين.

وأوضحت الوزارة في بيان صحفي أن المخالفات تنوعت ما بين ممارسة أنشطة غير مذكورة في الترخيص، وعدم استيفاء الاشتراطات العامة والخاصة للمحلات التجارية، وفتح محل وإدارته بدون ترخيص، وقيام عدد من الباعة المتجولين المخالفين بمزاولة نشاط بدون ترخيص تجاري.

ونوهت إلى أن هذه الحملات التفتيشية تأتي في إطار حرصها على تنظيم ومراقبة الأسواق والأنشطة التجارية بالدولة، ومراقبة مدى الالتزام بالقوانين واللوائح المنظمة لممارسة الأنشطة التجارية بهدف ضبط المخالفات والكشف عن التجاوزات.

وأكدت أنها ستواجه بحزم كل من يتهاون بقانون حماية المستهلك ولائحته التنفيذية، وستكثف حملاتها التفتيشية لضبط مثل هذه الممارسات وستحيل كل من يخالف القوانين والقرارات الوزارية ذات الصلة إلى الجهات المختصة لاتخاذ الإجراءات المناسبة وذلك حماية لحقوق المستهلكين.

وحثت الوزارة جميع التجار وأصحاب المحال التجارية على ضرورة الالتزام بأنظمة وقوانين مزاولة الأنشطة التجارية المعمول بها، والاطلاع على الأنظمة والقوانين المنظمة لممارسة هذه الأنشطة، من خلال زيارة موقع وزارة التجارة والصناعة www.moci.gov.qa تجنبا للمساءلة القانونية والمخالفة.

كما دعت وزارة التجارة والصناعة جميع المستهلكين إلى الإبلاغ عن أي تجاوزات أو مخالفات عبر مركز الاتصال (16001)، أو من خلال البريد الإلكتروني: info@moci.gov.qa وحسابات الوزارة على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي تويتر MOCIQATAR@، والإنستجرام MOCIQATAR، وتطبيق MOCIQATAR على الهواتف المحمولة.
