Pedestrians continue to break the Traffic Law

Doha: Violations of pedestrians crossing roads while cars are still driving are still ongoing, which requires the activation of Articles No. (60), (61) and (62) of Traffic Law No. (19) of 2007 regarding pedestrians’ obligations to traffic rules and etiquette, to deter violators and reduce run over accidents.

Al-Raya monitored a number of pedestrians who do not abide by the traffic laws approved by the relevant authorities regarding pedestrians, as they block the road in a way that may lead to being run over by vehicles. It also spotted a number of them blocking the road and jumping between the lanes, despite the fact that the traffic light that includes pedestrian crossing is 100 meters away.

الدوحة: ما زالت مخالفاتُ قطع المشاة للطرق أثناء سير السيارات مُستمرة، ما يتطلب تفعيل المواد رقم (60)، (61)، (62) من قانون المرور رقم (19) لسنة 2007 الخاصّة بالتزامات المشاة بقواعد المرور وآدابه، لردع المُخالفين والحدّ من حوادث الدهس.

الراية رصدت عددًا من المشاة الذين لا يلتزمون بالقوانين المروريّة التي أقرّتها الجهات المعنية بخصوص المشاة، حيث يقطعون الطريق بطريقة قد تؤدّي إلى تعرّضهم للدهس تحت عجلات المركبات، كما رصدت عددًا منهم يقومون بقطع الطريق والقفز بين المسارات، رغم أن الإشارة الضوئيّة التي تضم مسارات للمشاة تبعد عنهم مسافة 100 متر.
