MME cleans prayer grounds, parks and beaches

The Peninsula – DOHA:
The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) represented by the General Cleanliness Department has intensified its operation to clean, wash and disinfect prayer grounds to make it ready for Eid Al Adha.
The cleaning operation also covers public parks, beaches and streets getting the country ready for the Eid Al Adha celebration.
The operation began with the announcement to reopen mosques and grounds for Eid Al Adha prayer following the government direction under gradual lifting of restrictions of COVID-19, the Ministry said in a statement.
The Ministry urged citizens and expatriates to cooperate with cleaning teams of the General Cleanliness Department in taking out wastes caused by the maintenance and renovation of their houses according to the timing of the municipal waste collecting trucks.
The cooperation will help in removing the solid and other types of wastes on time. The Department placed additional garbage containers at the beaches to cover the growing number of visitors which are expected during Eid Al Adha.
A field team was set up to monitor the cleaning operation and follow up the removal of the wastes sacrificial animals timely.
The cleaning teams were assigned from yesterday to clean out the public parks, Corniche and open grounds as the intensified cleaning campaign will continue throughout Eid Al Adha.
The cleaning teams cleaned out streets across the country under the preparation for Eid Al Adha.
The Ministry of Municipality and Environment asked people to maintain hygiene while visiting to public places, beaches and picnic places and avoid littering by throwing wastes in garbage containers

أعلنت إدارة النظافة العامة بوزارة البلدية والبيئة استعداداتها لعيد الأضحى المبارك، بعد الإعلان عن الرفع التدريجي للإجراءات الاحترازية بسبب جائحة كورونا وفتح أعداد من المصليات والمساجد لصلاة العيد.
حيث بدات فرق عمل الميدانية بتنظيف وغسيل أرضيات المصليات وما حولها في مختلف مناطق الدولة بالتنسيق مع إدارة النظافة العامة بهدف إعادة تهيئتها وتجهيزها للمصلين، وفق الخطة الموضوعة لتغطية كافة المصليات قبل حلول عيد الأضحى المبارك.
من جانب آخر، تتواصل جهود الإدارة بالمحافظة على نظافة الشواطئ حيث تم زيادة عدد الحاويات بحيث تغطي مساحات شاسعة، كما تم تكليف فريق متابعة ميداني يعمل خلال إجازة العيد على مدار الساعة لضمان سير العمل ومتابعة رفع مخلفات الأضاحي.
وبالنسبة للحدائق والكورنيش والساحات والميادين العامة، بدأ فريق ميداني مجهز عمله اعتباراً من اليوم (الأربعاء) لتنظيف المواقع بالإضافة إلى تنظيم العمل على مدار الساعة خلال أيام العيد الأضحى المبارك.
كما قامت فرق العمل الميدانية بتنظيف وغسل الشوارع الداخلية والخارجية في جميع مناطق الدولة. وتهيب وزارة البلدية والبيئة بالمواطنين والمقيمين بضرورة التعاون مع فريق العمليات والمتابعة بإدارة النظافة في اخراج المخلفات الناتجة عن عمل الصيانة والتجديدات لمنازلهم قبل موعد مرور الآليات حسب الجدول الزمني لكل منطقة، كما نناشد الجمهور الكريم بالحفاظ على نظافة الساحات والميادين العامة أثناء قيامهم بالتنزه في المناطق الترويحية وخاصة الشواطئ والحدائق العامة والمتنزهات بالدولة وعدم تشويه الأماكن العامة برمي المخلفات بطريقة عشوائية.
