Kahramaa Wins Award in 25th Gulf Engineering Forum

Dubai: The Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) won one of the awards at the 25th Gulf Engineering Forum for its Tarsheed Smart EV Charging Platform project.
The project was selected in the smart systems and robotics category. The forum was attended by more than 500 participants to discuss the latest trends in the engineering sector. The event serves as a platform for exchanging ideas, experiences, and developing smart engineering solutions, bringing together decision-makers at both local and regional levels to discuss issues and develop solutions related to optimal engineering use in addressing challenges.
This is the first time that Kahramaa has won this award from the forum, which also saw the Sustainable City in Dubai win the award for its projects, and honored a number of doctors and engineering pioneers from various Gulf countries and a number of heads of engineering bodies in the region.
The forum featured dialogues and workshops spanning two days, presented by a group of engineers, researchers, and academics, addressing topics such as construction systems, bioengineering, medical biotechnology, and infrastructure.
The Tarsheed Smart EV Charging Platform aims to unify the electric vehicle charging experience through a single application that allows customers and charging service providers to monitor and track charging operations and electric charging stations in the country and encourage its adoption among individuals and companies, which contributes to the adoption of a new digital lifestyle and contributes to reducing carbon emissions and preserving the environment.
The Tarsheed platform includes services for subscribers that enable them to search for the nearest electric charging station in the country, search for charging services compatible with their vehicle type, and monitor charging operations through the application. On the other hand, this platform enables Kahramaa to monitor the operation of electric stations to improve the quality of services provided. This is in line with the third national development strategy for environmental sustainability, which is represented in rationalizing the use of natural resources, protecting ecosystems, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and building capacity and flexibility to face future environmental threats.

دبي: حصلت المؤسسة العامة القطرية للكهرباء والماء “كهرماء” على إحدى جوائز الملتقى الهندسي الخليجي الخامس والعشرين عن مشروع “منصة ترشيد الذكية لشحن المركبات الكهربائية”.
وتم اختيار المشروع ضمن فئة الأنظمة الذكية والروبوتات للفوز بجائزة الملتقى الذي عقد بحضور أكثر من 500 مشارك لمناقشة أحدث الاتجاهات في القطاع الهندسي ويعتبر حدثا لتبادل الأفكار والخبرات وتطوير الحلول الهندسية الذكية، ويجمع صناع القرار على المستويين المحلي والإقليمي لمناقشة القضايا ووضع الحلول المتعلقة بالاستخدام الأمثل للهندسة في معالجة التحديات.
وتعتبر هذه هي المرة الأولى التي تحصل فيها /كهرماء/ على هذه الجائزة من الملتقى الذي شهد أيضا فوز المدينة المستدامة في دبي بجائزة مشاريعه، وتكريم عدد من الأطباء ورواد العمل الهندسي من مختلف دول الخليج وعدد من رؤساء الهيئات الهندسية في المنطقة.
وقد شهد الملتقى جلسات حوارية وورشات عمل امتدت على مدار يومين قدمها مجموعة من المهندسين والباحثين والأكاديميين وتناولت مواضيع أنظمة البناء والهندسة الحيوية والتقنيات الطبية الحيوية والبنية التحتية.
وتهدف منصة “ترشيد لشحن المركبات الذكية” إلى توحيد تجربة شحن المركبات الكهربائية عبر تطبيق واحد يمكن العملاء ومقدمي خدمات الشحن من مراقبة ورصد عمليات الشحن ومحطات الشحن الكهربائية في الدولة وتشجيع اعتمادها بين الأفراد والشركات مما يسهم في تبني أسلوب حياة رقمي جديد، والمساهمة في خفض انبعاثات الكربون والحفاظ على البيئة.
وتتضمن منصة ترشيد خدمات للمشتركين تمكنهم من البحث عن أقرب محطة شحن كهربائي في الدولة والبحث عن خدمات الشحن المتوافقة مع نوع مركباتهم ومراقبة عمليات الشحن عبر التطبيق، وتمكن هذه المنصة كهرماء من جهة أخرى من مراقبة عمل المحطات الكهربائية لتحسين جودة الخدمات المقدمة. وذلك تماشيا مع استراتيجية التنمية الوطنية الثالثة للاستدامة البيئية المتمثلة في ترشيد استخدام الموارد الطبيعية وحماية النظم البيئية وخفض انبعاثات غازات الدفيئة وبناء القدرة والمرونة على مواجهة التهديدات البيئية المستقبلية.
