The most prominent decisions of the weekly cabinet meeting

Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani chaired the Cabinet’s regular meeting held on Wednesday morning at its seat at the Amiri Diwan.

Following the meeting, HE Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs issued the following statement: The Cabinet considered the topics on its agenda as follows: First – Approval of a draft law amending some provisions of Law No. 9 of 1987 on Control and Regulation of Control and Regulation of Narcotic Drugs and Dangerous Psychotropic Substances (NDDPS) and referring it to the Shura Council.

Second – Approval of a draft Cabinet decision amending some provisions of Resolution No. 36 of 2014 regarding the establishment of the National Committee for the Customs Clearance System and Cross-Border Trade Facilitation.

Third – Approval of: 1- A draft decision by the Minister of State for Energy Affairs specifying the works to be implemented in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 4 of 2018 on Organizing the Electricity and Water Service Connection, and the conditions and controls necessary in this regard.

2- A draft decision by the Chairman of the Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA) specifying the conditions and procedures for connecting electricity and water to buildings and facilities whose maximum demand exceeds (5) megawatts of electricity and (600) cubic meters per day of water.

Fourth – Approval to host the 26th session of the Islamic Fiqh Academy in Doha during Nov. 3-11, 2024.
Fifth – Approval of a draft sponsorship agreement regarding organizing the 2023 Future Networked Car Symposium in Qatar.

Sixth – The Cabinet reviewed the following topics and took appropriate decisions in their regard: 1- Periodic report on hosting the Doha Horticultural Expo 2023 from Oct. 2, 2023, to March 28, 2024.
2- The 55th report on the results of the work of the National Committee for Prohibition of Weapons from Jan. 1 to April 30, 2023.

3- A report on the results of the participation in the Hannover Messe International Industrial Fair 2023 in Germany in April 2023.

4- A report on the results of the visit made by HE Minister of Social Development and Family to the Kingdom of Morocco in May 2023.

الدوحة: ترأس معالي الشيخ محمد بن عبدالرحمن بن جاسم آل ثاني، رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الخارجية، الاجتماع العادي الذي عقده المجلس صباح الأمس بمقره في الديوان الأميري.

وعقب الاجتماع أدلى سعادة وزير الدولة لشؤون مجلس الوزراء بما يلي: نظر مجلس الوزراء في الموضوعات المدرجة على جدول الأعمال على النحو التالي: أولاً- الموافقة على مشروع قانون بتعديل بعض أحكام القانون رقم (9) لسنة 1987 في شأن مكافحة المخدرات والمؤثرات العقلية الخطرة وتنظيم استعمالها والاتجار فيها، وعلى إحالته إلى مجلس الشورى.

ثانياً- الموافقة على مشروع قرار مجلس الوزراء بتعديل بعض أحكام القرار رقم (36) لسنة 2014 بإنشاء اللجنة الوطنية لنظام التخليص الجمركي وتيسير التجارة عبر الحدود.

ثالثاً- الموافقة على: 1- مشروع قرار وزير الدولة لشؤون الطاقة بتحديد الأعمال التي يتم تنفيذها وفقاً لأحكام القانون رقم (4) لسنة 2018 بتنظيم توصيل التيار الكهربائي والماء، والشروط والضوابط اللازمة لذلك.

2- مشروع قرار رئيس المؤسسة العامة القطرية للكهرباء والماء بتحديد شروط وإجراءات توصيل التيار الكهربائي والماء للمباني والمنشآت التي يزيد حجم الطلب الأقصى الخاص بها على (5) ميجا وات من الكهرباء و(600) متر مكعب يومياً من الماء.

رابعاً- الموافقة على استضافة الدورة (26) لمجمع الفقه الإسلامي بالدوحة خلال الفترة من 3 إلى 7 / 11 / 2024.

خامساً- الموافقة على مشروع اتفاق رعاية بشأن تنظيم ندوة سيارة المستقبل الموصولة شبكياً لعام 2023 في قطر.

سادساً- استعرض مجلس الوزراء الموضوعات التالية واتخذ بشأنها القرارات المناسبة: 1- التقرير الدوري لاستضافة إكسبو الدوحة للبستنة 2023، خلال الفترة من 2 / 10 / 2023 إلى 28 / 3 / 2024.

2- التقرير (55) عن نتائج أعمال اللجنة الوطنية لحظر الأسلحة خلال الفترة من 1/1 إلى 30 / 4 / 2023.

3- تقرير عن نتائج المشاركة في معرض هانوفر الصناعي الدولي 2023 (ألمانيا- إبريل 2023 ).

4- تقرير عن نتائج الزيارة التي قام بها سعادة وزير التنمية الاجتماعية والأسرة إلى المملكة المغربية (مايو-2023).
