HH the Amir, Japanese Prime Minister Hold Official Talks Session

Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida held an official talks session at the Amiri Diwan on Tuesday.
At the outset of the session, HH the Amir welcomed HE Prime Minister of Japan and the accompanying delegation, wishing the relations between the two countries further development and growth, and stressing the importance of this visit as it will increase communication and coordination in order to enhance cooperation between the two countries in all fields.
HH the Amir indicated that the continuation of such meetings and mutual visits between the two sides will enhance bilateral coordination and consultation in various issues and areas of interest to the two countries.
His Highness expressed his happiness at today’s announcement of upgrading the level of bilateral relations between Qatar and Japan to the level of strategic partnership, explaining that this announcement will contribute to the development of cooperation in areas of common interest.
His Highness pointed to the levels of cooperation between the two countries in all fields, especially in energy, noting the level of cooperation with Japanese companies in Qatar.
For his part, HE the Japanese Prime Minister expressed his thanks for the warm welcome, congratulating HH the Amir on the occasion of the10th anniversary of His Highness assuming power, while noting the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Qatari-Japanese diplomatic relations.
His Excellency stressed its importance and looked forward to upgrading them to the highest levels during the next fifty years, commending at the same time the Japanese-Qatari partnership at various levels.
In this regard, His Excellency expressed his pleasure at the announcement of upgrading the level of partnership to the strategic level in order to strengthen bilateral relations, especially in energy, economy, defense, security and academic exchange.
During the session, they discussed the existing cooperation relations between the two countries, especially in the fields of economy and energy, in addition to discussing prospects of cooperation in various sectors.
HH the Amir and HE the Prime Minister of Japan also exchanged views on the most important regional and international issues.
The session was attended by HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, HE Chief of the Amiri Diwan Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, HE Head of the State Security Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi, HE Minister of State for Energy Affairs Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, HE Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al-Thani, and HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi.
On the Japanese side, it was attended by HE Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihiko Isozaki and a number of members of the official delegation accompanying HE the Japanese Prime Minister.
HH the Amir and HE the Japanese Prime Minister also held a bilateral meeting, during which they discussed a number of issues of common concern.
HH the Amir held a luncheon banquet in honor of the Japanese Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation.
An official reception ceremony was held for HE the Japanese Prime Minister upon his arrival at the Amiri Diwan.

في بداية الجلسة، أعرب سمو الأمير المفدى عن ترحيبه بدولة رئيس الوزراء الياباني والوفد المرافق في دولة قطر، متمنيا للعلاقات بين البلدين المزيد من التطور والنمو، ومؤكدا سموه على أهمية هذه الزيارة لما سيترتب عليها من زيادة في التواصل والتنسيق من أجل تعزيز التعاون بين البلدين في جميع المجالات، ومشيرا سموه إلى أن الاستمرار في مثل هذه اللقاءات والزيارات المتبادلة بين الجانبين، سيعزز التنسيق والتشاور الثنائي في مختلف القضايا والمجالات التي تهم البلدين.
وعبر سموه عن سعادته بالإعلان اليوم عن الارتقاء بمستوى العلاقات الثنائية بين قطر واليابان إلى مستوى الشراكة الإستراتيجي، موضحا أن هذا الإعلان سوف يسهم في تطوير التعاون في المجالات ذات الاهتمام المشترك، ومشيرا سموه إلى مستويات التعاون بين البلدين في جميع المجالات، لاسيما في الطاقة، ومنوها بمستوى التعاون مع الشركات اليابانية في قطر.
من جانبه، عبر دولة رئيس الوزراء الياباني عن شكره على الترحيب وحفاوة الاستقبال، معربا دولته عن تهانيه لسمو الأمير المفدى بمناسبة الذكرى العاشرة لتولي سموه مقاليد الحكم، ومنوها بمرور خمسين عاما على إقامة العلاقات الدبلوماسية القطرية اليابانية، ومؤكدا على أهميتها، ومتطلعا للارتقاء بها إلى أعلى المستويات خلال الخمسين سنة القادمة، ومشيدا في الوقت نفسه بالشراكة اليابانية القطرية على مختلف الصعد. وفي هذا الصدد عبر عن سعادته بالإعلان عن رفع مستوى الشراكة إلى المستوى الاستراتيجي من أجل تعزيز العلاقات الثنائية، لاسيما في الطاقة والاقتصاد والدفاع والأمن والتبادل الأكاديمي.
وجرى، خلال الجلسة، بحث علاقات التعاون القائمة بين البلدين، لا سيما في مجالي الاقتصاد والطاقة، إضافة إلى استعراض آفاق التعاون في القطاعات المختلفة.
كما تبادل سمو أمير البلاد المفدى ودولة رئيس وزراء اليابان وجهات النظر حول أبرز القضايا الإقليمية والدولية.
حضر الجلسة معالي الشيخ محمد بن عبدالرحمن بن جاسم آل ثاني رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الخارجية، وسعادة الشيخ سعود بن عبدالرحمن آل ثاني رئيس الديوان الأميري، وسعادة السيد عبدالله بن محمد الخليفي رئيس جهاز أمن الدولة، وسعادة السيد سعد بن شريدة الكعبي وزير الدولة لشؤون الطاقة، وسعادة الشيخ محمد بن حمد بن قاسم آل ثاني وزير التجارة والصناعة، وسعادة السيد سلطان بن سعد المريخي وزير الدولة للشؤون الخارجية.
وحضرها من الجانب الياباني سعادة السيد يوشيهيكو إسوزاكي وزير الدولة لشؤون مجلس الوزراء، وعدد من أعضاء الوفد الرسمي المرافق لدولة رئيس الوزراء الياباني.
كما عقد سمو الأمير المفدى ودولة رئيس الوزراء الياباني لقاء ثنائيا، ناقشا خلاله عددا من الموضوعات ذات الاهتمام المشترك.
وقد أقام سمو الأمير مأدبة غداء تكريما لدولة رئيس الوزراء الياباني والوفد المرافق له.
وكانت قد أقيمت لدولة رئيس الوزراء الياباني مراسم استقبال رسمية لدى وصوله الديوان الأميري.
