Pigeon arrested for espionage!

The case of the arrest of a pigeon accused of spying has caused a stir in both India and Pakistan, especially after the statements of the Pakistani-national owner of the dove, who demanded that his country’s authorities return it with “respect.” Habibullah called on his country’s authorities to intervene to retrieve his bird, who was arrested in India on charges of espionage, and to do so with “respect,” as the authorities of his country do when an Indian pilot is arrested in Pakistan.”

According to the British newspaper “The Independent”, Habib, who lives in a border village about 4 kilometres from the common border between the two countries, said that all India has to do is add the “international code” to his country before the “encrypted” message that the Indian authorities are talking about, which is on the bracelet around the dove’s foot, so he can answer the call.

“Pigeon breeders place metal rings on the feet of their pigeons with their owners’ phone numbers written on them to be contacted in case they are lost and found by other people,” he said. An Indian woman found the pigeon, whose owner has not been identified, to be handed over to the security forces because of a ring on her foot with some numbers on it, and the Indian local authorities said that some investigations were being conducted.

أثارت قضية اعتقال حمامة اتهمت بالتجسس ضجة كبيرة في كل من الهند وباكستان، وبخاصة بعد تصريحات مالك الحمامة الباكستاني الجنسية والذي طالب سلطات بلاده باسترجاعها بـ”كل احترام”.وطالب حبيب الله، سلطات بلاده بالتدخل لاسترجاع طيره الذي تم القبض عليه في الهند بتهمة التجسس، وبأن يتم ذلك بـ”كل احترام”، كما تفعل سلطات بلاده عندما يتم “اعتقال طيار هندي في باكستان”.فبحسب ما نشرت صحيفة “اندبندنت” البريطانية، فإن حبيب الذي يسكن في قرية حدودية تبعد نحو 4 كيلومترات عن الحدود المشتركة بين البلدين، قال بأن كل ما يجب على الهند فعله هو إضافة “الكود الدولي” لبلده قبل الرسالة “المشفرة” التي تتحدث عنها السلطات الهندية، والموجودة على السوار الموضوع حول قدم الحمامة، لأقوم بالرد على الاتصال.

مضيفا “بأن مربيي الحمام يقومون بوضع حلقات معدنية على أقدام حمامهم مكتوب عليها أرقام هواتف أصحابها ليتم الإتصال بهم في حال ضياعها والعثور عليها من قبل أشخاص آخرين”.هذا وكانت إمرأة هندية قد عثرت على الحمامة التي لم يعرف صاحبها ليتم تسليمها للقوى الأمنية بسبب وجود حلقة على قدمها مكتوب عليها بعض الأرقام، من جهتها السلطات المحلية الهندية قالت بأنه يتم إجراء بعض التحقيقات حول الأمر.
