Ministry records 5 violations of preventive measures in Industrial Area

The Peninsula – Doha:

The Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs has taken action against five companies for violating the preventive and precautionary measures which were announced during the reopening of the Industrial Area.

The actions were taken during the inspection campaigns by the Ministry in coordination with the authorities concerned at the Industrial Area, said the Ministry on its website.

The erring companies violated the health and safety measures at workplaces and accommodations, not making their staffs wear face masks. The Ministry referred the erring companies to competent authorities for further legal procedures.

Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs asked companies to comply labor law, ministerial decisions and the ministry policies regarding the measures which are required from the companies to follow to curb the spread of COVID-19 to avoid legal actions.

The Ministry asked the people to call on hotline No 40280660 if they come across any violation related to the safety of workers at workplace and accommodation.

في إطار الحملات التفتيشية التي تقوم بها وزارة التنمية الإدارية والعمل والشؤون الاجتماعية داخل المنطقة الصناعية، ضمن فريق العمل مع الجهات المختصة، تمت مخالفة 5 شركات لم تلتزم بالإجراءات الاحترازية الواجب اتخاذها والتي تم الإعلان عنها أثناء افتتاح المنطقة الصناعية، حيث خالفت الشركات التي تعمل في نشاط الورش (الكراجات) والنجارة، اشتراطات الصحة والسلامة في أماكن العمل والسكن، بعدم التقيد بلبس الكمامات.

وقامت الوزارة بدورها بتحرير محاضر ضبط مخالفة بهذا الشأن.

وتشدد الوزارة على جميع الشركات ضرورة الالتزام بقانون العمل والقرارات الوزارية المنفذة له، وسياسة الوزارة بالإجراءات التي يجب على الشركات اتخاذها للتخفيف من انتشار فيروس كورونا «كوفيد – 19»، وذلك لعدم التعرض للإجراءات القانونية المقررة بهذا الشأن.

هذا وقد خصصت الوزارة الخط الساخن: 40280660، للإبلاغ عن المخالفات التي تتصل بسلامة العمال في السكن ومواقع العمل.
