QRCS Patient Support Fund plans QR11mn budget
الهلال القطري يوفر الدعم الصحي الاجتماعي بميزانية إجمالية ١١ مليون ريال
Qatar Red Crescent Society’s (QRCS) Patient Support Fund has continued to cover the costs of treatment for poor patients.
This year, the Patient Support Fund is planned to reach out to 2,000 patients, in addition to providing social health support and other charitable services for up to 12,000 persons, with a total budget of QR 11,230,000.
A total of 124 patients with chronic diseases received the much-needed treatment, last week, to avoid any serious health complications in case of delay.
These included follow-up patients with heart disease, kidney failure, cancer, rheumatism, and autoimmune disorders. All the necessary precautions were strictly taken to prevent the novel coronavirus infection risks.
Over the past year, 1,605 poor patients were covered, 9,000 persons received social health support, and 3,395 persons benefitted from the Cordiality Iftar implemented at hospitals during the holy month of Ramadan.
Under the bilateral strategic partnership, the Fund works in cooperation with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC). Other partners include AbbVie Biopharmaceuticals GmbH, Qatar Centre for Organ Transplantation, Department of Gastroenterology, HMC and Roche, a Swiss-based healthcare company.
The Patient Support Fund is a humanitarian programme that addresses the needs of poor patients whose lives are badly affected by health problems. By providing the necessary medications and medical services, it helps to promote solidarity and compassion among the rich and the poor, with no discrimination on the basis of colour, race, or religion.
Funded mainly from the revenue of charity paid by individual and institutional donors in Qatar, it ultimately seeks to enhance public health in Qatar, in light of the national health strategies, towards the human development goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.

واصل صندوق إعانة المرضى التابع للهلال الأحمر القطري نشاطه الخيري لرعاية الحالات المرضية غير القادرة، حيث قام خلال الأسبوع الماضي بتوفير العلاج لصالح 124 حالة مرضية.
جاء ذلك في ظل الإجراءات الوقائية المشددة التي اتخذتها الدولة لمواجهة فيروس كورونا «كوفيد – 19».
وتحتاج جميع الحالات لمتابعة العلاج من أمراض مزمنة، مثل: أمراض القلب والكلى والسرطان والروماتيزم واضطرابات المناعة الذاتية، ما استدعى عدم تأخير العلاج، لتجنب حدوث أي مضاعفات صحية خطيرة، مع اتخاذ كل الإجراءات الاحترازية لضمان الوقاية من العدوى.
ومن المستهدف أن يغطي الصندوق ما لا يقل عن 2000 حالة مرضية خلال العام الحالي، بالإضافة إلى تقديم الدعم الصحي الاجتماعي لما لا يقل عن 12 ألف شخص، وتوزيع التمور على 5000 مستفيد خلال شهر رمضان المبارك، بميزانية إجمالية تتجاوز 11.230 مليون ريال.
وقد أسهم الصندوق على مدار العام الماضي في تغطية تكاليف علاج 1605 مرضى من غير القادرين، إلى جانب تقديم الدعم الصحي الاجتماعي لصالح 9000 شخص، وتنفيذ إفطار المودة لصالح 3395 شخصاً من المرضى وأسرهم أثناء تواجدهم في المستشفيات خلال وقت الإفطار.
ويعمل صندوق إعانة المرضى بالتنسيق والتعاون مع مؤسسة حمد الطبية، في ظل علاقة الشراكة الاستراتيجية بين الجانبين في العديد من المجالات.
كما أبرم عدة اتفاقيات تعاون مع كلٍّ من: شركة «أبفي» العالمية للصناعات الدوائية، ومركز قطر لزراعة الأعضاء، ووحدة المناظير والجهاز الهضمي بمؤسسة حمد الطبية، وشركة «روش» السويسرية للصناعات الدوائية.
