تهديدات بقتل رئيسة الوزراء النيوزيلندية
WELLINGTON: The New Zealand Police are investigating death threats sent to Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern on social media, Xinhua news agency reported, quoting local media on Friday.
A Twitter post containing a photo of a gun and caption “You are next” was sent to the prime minister.
The post had been up for more than 48 hours before the sender’s Twitter account was suspended after it was reported by various people.
The suspended account contained anti-Islamic contents and white supremacist hate speeches, according to the report.
Terror attacks hit New Zealand’s Christchurch last Friday, killing at least 50 people and injuring 50 others.
In the aftermath of the terror attacks, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern vowed to change the gun law in the country.
Ardern announced on Thursday that military style semi-automatic weapons and assault rifles are to be banned in New Zealand. – Bernama

صرحت الشرطة النيوزيلندية، أمس الجمعة، بأنها تحقق في تهديدات بالقتل وصلت رئيسة الوزراء جاسيندا آردرن، عبر مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي.
ونقلت صحيفة «نيوزيلندا هيرالد» عن متحدثة باسم الشرطة (لم تسمها) أنّ الشرطة «على دراية بالتعليقات المنشورة على أحد حسابات موقع «تويتر»، وتقوم بإجراء الاستفسارات اللازمة حولها وحول هوية صاحب الحساب».
وقام حساب على موقع «تويتر» بإرسال صور لأسلحة وعبارات مثل «أنت الهدف المقبل» إلى الحساب الخاص برئيسة الوزراء على الموقع ذاته.
غير أنه تم إيقاف حساب ذلك الشخص بعد الإبلاغ عنه بواسطة عدد كبير من مستخدمي «تويتر»، حسب المصدر ذاته. وكان الحساب الموقوف يحتوي على منشورات تنم عن كراهية وعنصرية ومعاداة للإسلام.
وعقب «مجزرة المسجدين» التي راح ضحيتها 50 شخصاً، الأسبوع الماضي، في مدينة كرايست تشيرش النيوزيلندية، اشتهرت «آردرن» بمواقفها الإنسانية الداعمة للمسلمين، والرافضة لسيطرة أفكار اليمين المتطرف، وتعد آردرن (37 عاماً) أصغر رئيسة حكومة في العالم.
