MCIT Organizes Workshop on National Digital Agenda 2030

Doha: The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) hosted The National Digital Agenda (NDA) 2030 Visioning Workshop. The event attracted a significant number of attendees and participants involved in developing Qatar’s digital ecosystem.

Digital technology was recognized as the catalyst for the achievement of national plans, to enable Qatar’s transition towards a knowledge-based economy. To highlight Qatar’s digital opportunity, stakeholders emphasized Digital Enablement (foundational digital components, such as accessible infrastructure and transparent policies) and Digital Advancement (promotion of digital adoption and innovation across industries).

Participants also had the chance to vote on and prioritize critical strategic themes, including establishing a Modern Regulatory Framework, enabling Human-Centric Digital Government, accelerating Private Sector Digitalization, elevating Data as a National Asset and providing Secure and Resilient ICT Infrastructure.

الدوحة: نظمت وزارة الاتصالات وتكنولوجيا المعلومات ورشة عمل حول رؤية أجندة التنمية الرقمية الوطنية 2030 بمشاركة عدد من أصحاب المصلحة في النظام البيئي الرقمي في دولة قطر.

وسلطت الورشة الضوء على أهمية التكنولوجيا الرقمية في إنجاز الخطط الوطنية وتمكين قطر من التحول نحو اقتصاد رقمي قائم على المعرفة، والفرص الرقمية المتاحة لدولة قطر في هذا المجال.

وأكدت الجهات الفاعلة والمشاركون على أهمية اعتماد المقومات الرقمية لتحقيق التقدم والتمكين الرقمي مثل (المكونات الرقمية التأسيسية، والبنية التحتية التي يمكن الوصول إليها، وشفافية السياسات، والترويج للتبني الرقمي والابتكار عبر الصناعات).

كما أتيحت للمشاركين فرصة التصويت على المواضيع الاستراتيجية الهامة وتحديد أولوياتها، بما في ذلك إنشاء إطار تنظيمي حديث، وتمكين الحكومة الرقمية المرتكزة على الإنسان، وتسريع التحول الرقمي للقطاع الخاص، ورفع مستوى البيانات كأصل وطني، وتوفير بنية تحتية آمنة ومرنة لتكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات.
