Katara Announces Its Short Story Competition on Environmental Sustainability

Doha: The Cultural Village Katara announced the opening of the annual Katara Short Story Competition with the topic “Environmental Sustainability”.

The theme of “Environmental Sustainability” was chosen to be a main theme around which the participating stories in the Katara Short Story Competition 2023 revolve, given the importance of environmental sustainability in avoiding the depletion or waste of natural resources and calling for the preservation of long-term environmental quality.

General conditions were set for the Katara competition for the short story during the month of Ramadan, where the text of the story should not be less than 1,500 words and not more than 5,000. The story should be written in classical Arabic, in a language free of spelling errors, and taking into account the placement of punctuation marks, in addition, it should not have been previously published in any media, or won any award before, so that it is for the competition only.

Participation in the competition is open to writers of both sexes without being restricted by age, and the contestant has the right to participate in only one story, and it is attached to a Word file only. Participants must also send their story production, printed and formed on the Word program, to the e-mail: story@kataraquran.com.

الدوحة: أعلنت المؤسسة العامة للحي الثقافي /كتارا/، عن اطلاق مسابقة /كتارا/ للقصة القصيرة موضوعها “الاستدامة البيئية”، وذلك استمرارا لمسابقات القصة القصيرة التي درجت المؤسسة على إطلاقها سنويا في موسم رمضان.

وتم اختيار موضوع “الاستدامة البيئية” ليكون محورا رئيسيا تدور حوله القصص المشاركة في مسابقة / كتارا/ للقصة القصيرة 2023، نظرا لأهمية الاستدامة البيئية في تجنب استنزاف الموارد الطبيعية أو هدرها والدعوة للحفاظ على جودة بيئية طويلة المدى.

وتم تحديد شروط عامة لمسابقة /كتارا/ للقصة القصيرة خلال شهر رمضان، حيث يجب ألا يقل نص القصة عن 1500 كلمة ولا يزيد عن 5 آلاف، وأن تكتب القصة باللغة العربية الفصحى، وبلغة خالية من الأخطاء الإملائية، مع مراعاة مواضع علامات الترقيم، إلى جانب ألا تكون منشورة في السابق بأي وسيلة إعلامية، أو حازت على أي جائزة من قبل، بحيث تكون خاصة بالمسابقة فقط.

وتعتبر المشاركة في المسابقة متاحة للكتاب من الجنسين دون التقيد بالعمر، وللمتسابق الحق في المشاركة بقصة واحدة فقط، وترفق بلمف وورد فقط لا غير، كما يجب على المشاركين إرسال إنتاجهم القصصي مطبوعا ومشكلا على برنامج word، على البريد الإلكتروني:story@kataraquran.com.
