Qatar Charity Delivers Aid to Earthquake Victims in Northern Syria

Doha: Qatar Charity (QC) started to deliver a new batch of urgent relief assistance to those affected by the earthquake in northern Syria. The aid funded by Eid Charity is expected to benefit 5,750 people in northwestern Syria. This is part of Qatar Charitys continuous efforts to contribute to meeting the basic needs of the earthquake victims.

The aid, worth QR 2 million, includes the installation and equipping of 1,150 shelter tents and the provision of primary shelter materials to the affected, which comprise mattresses, blankets, fire extinguishers, and first aid kits.

Qatar Charity emphasized the importance of cooperation and concerted efforts to respond to humanitarian crises. It stated that the cooperation with Eid Charity came as an extension of the strategic partnership between both organizations and a joint response from both to the great damage inflicted on Syrian whose suffering doubled after the earthquake.

Qatar Charity noted that it seeks through this project to protect children and families, mitigate the damage to them, provide them with psychological support, and ensure their safety and security.

Eid Charity stated that it extended a helping hand to those affected by the earthquake in northern Syria, in cooperation with one of its most important strategic partners, which is Qatar Charity, based on its humanitarian and pioneering role towards the international community around the world. It indicated that relief assistance of all kinds comes within the framework of its most important priorities to help the affected, the displaced, and refugees.
Eid Charity pledged more strategic cooperation with Qatar Charity through several important humanitarian projects to contribute to achieving the Qatar National Vision and the Sustainable Development Goals.

الدوحة: أعلنت قطر الخيرية عن تقديمها لدفعة جديدة من المساعدات الإغاثية العاجلة لصالح المتضررين من كارثة الزلزال في الشمال السوري، بتمويل من مؤسسة عيد الخيرية، وينتظر أن يستفيد منها 5750 شخصا في شمال غرب سوريا، وذلك في إطار جهودها المتواصلة لإغاثة المتضررين وتوفير الاحتياجات الإنسانية العاجلة لهم.

وأفادت قطر الخيرية في بيان لها اليوم بأن المساعدات التي تبلغ قيمتها مليوني ريال على تركيب وتجهيز 1150 خيمة للإيواء وتوفير مواد الإيواء الأولية للمتضررين تتضمن فرش نوم، وبطانيات، إضافة إلى مطافئ حريق وحقائب إسعافات أولية.

وأكدت قطر الخيرية على أهمية التعاون المشترك وتضافر الجهود والموارد في مواجهة الأزمات الإنسانية.

وذكرت بأن التعاون مع مؤسسة عيد الخيرية جاء امتدادا للشراكة الاستراتيجية التي تربطها بقطر الخيرية، واستجابة مشتركة من الجهتين للأضرار الكبيرة التي لحقت بالإخوة السوريين الذين تضاعفت معاناتهم بعد كارثة الزلزال، منوهة بسعيها من خلال هذا المشروع إلى حماية الأطفال والأسر وتخفيف حدة الضرر عليها وتقديم الدعم النفسي لها وضمان سلامتها وأمنها بما يدعم صمودها في مواجهة الكارثة من خلال توفير مستلزماتهم الضرورية وتحسين ظروفهم المعيشية.

من جهتها، أوضحت مؤسسة عيد الخيرية أنها سارعت لمدّ يد العون للمتضررين من الزلزال في شمال سوريا بالتعاون مع أحد أهم شركائها الاستراتيجيين (قطر الخيرية)، انطلاقاً من دورها الإنساني والريادي تجاه المجتمع الدولي في شتى أنحاء العالم، واستشعاراً منها لأهمية هذا الدور المؤثر في رفع المعاناة عن الإنسان ليعيش حياة كريمة.

وأشارت إلى أن الإغاثات والمساعدات بأنواعها تأتي في إطار أهم أولوياتها لمساعدة المتضررين وإغاثة النازحين واللاجئين وإيواء المشردين.

وتعهدت مؤسسة عيد بمزيد من التعاون الاستراتيجي مع قطر الخيرية من خلال العديد من المشاريع الإنسانية الهامة تحقيقا لرؤية قطر الوطنية، ولأهداف التنمية المستدامة 2030.
