Doha: Hamad International Airport (DOH) has been ranked as the second-best airport in the world, along with winning titles for Worlds Best Airport Shopping and Best Airport in the Middle East for the ninth time in a row, at the Skytrax World Airport Awards 2023, hosted at the Passenger Terminal Expo in Amsterdam.
The World Airport Awards are the most prestigious accolades for the airport industry, voted by customers in the largest annual global airport customer satisfactory survey.
Chief Operating Officer at Hamad International Airport Eng. Badr Mohammed Al Meer said: “We are pleased to receive these accolades by the prestigious Skytrax World Airport Awards and to be voted as one of the worlds leading airports. This is a positive reflection to our robust airport operations and teams dedication. Operating since 2000, the World Airport Awards are independent and impartial, and were introduced to provide a customer satisfaction study that is truly global in scope and coverage. They are regarded as the quality benchmark for the world airport industry, assessing customer service and facilities across over 550 airports. The survey and awards are independent of any airport control or input.

الدوحة: حصل مطار حمد الدولي على تصنيف ثاني أفضل مطار في العالم، وذلك خلال حفل توزيع جوائز سكاي تراكس للمطارات العالمية 2023 الذي استضافه معرض مبنى المسافرين (Passenger Terminal Expo) في العاصمة الهولندية أمستردام.
كما فاز المطار بجائزة “أفضل مطار للتسوق في العالم” و”أفضل مطار في الشرق الأوسط” للمرة التاسعة على التوالي.
وتعد جوائز المطارات العالمية من أرفع الجوائز في قطاع المطارات، حيث يتم التصويت عليها من قبل العملاء في أكبر استطلاع سنوي لرضا العملاء في المطارات.
وقال المهندس بدر محمد المير الرئيس التنفيذي للعمليات في مطار حمد الدولي، في تصريح بهذه المناسبة،:” يسرنا حصد جوائز سكاي تراكس العالمية للمطارات والتصويت لمطار حمد الدولي كواحد من أفضل مطارات العالم، وتعكس هذه الجوائز سلاسة عملياتنا التشغيلية، وجهود موظفينا، واستثمارنا في تقديم تجارب سفر استثنائية لمسافرينا وتزويد شركائنا بأفضل المرافق والخدمات .. نحن ملتزمون بخطط النمو الخاصة بنا والحفاظ على أعلى المعايير في صناعة السفر العالمية”.
من جانبه، هنأ إدوارد بلايستيد الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة سكاي تراكس، مطار حمد الدولي على الفوز بهذه الجوائز الهامة للعملاء لعام 2023، مشيرا إلى أن السنوات القليلة الماضية كانت صعبة للغاية بالنسبة للمطارات في جميع أنحاء العالم. وأعرب عن سعادته بتخطي جائحة كورونا /كوفيد-19/ وعودة أعداد المسافرين إلى طبيعتها والاعتراف بمطار حمد الدولي كمطار رائد من قبل عملائه.
