Qatar Charity Organizes Event for Quake-Affected Orphans in Turkiye

Doha: Qatar Charity (QC) held an event for the families of orphans affected by the earthquake in Harran camp in southern Turkiye as part of Qatar Charity’s global ‘Rofaqa’ initiative for the care of orphans and underprivileged children, to alleviate their suffering.
The ceremony was attended by Yousuf Abdulla Al Khulaifi, general supervisor of the ‘Rofaqa’ initiative, Mushaal Naser AlHajeri, General Supervisor of Turkiye Office, Oltan Bayraktar, Kaymakam of Akshakale, and Mehmet Asutay, Harran Education Director.
The event included many activities like recital programs and competitions. The prizes were presented to the winners of the competitions.
Speaking at the ceremony, Yousuf Abdulla Al Khulaifi, general supervisor of the ‘Rofaqa’ initiative offered the condolences of the Qatari people and Qatar Charity to the families of the earthquake victims. He touched on the assistance provided by Qatar Charity to alleviate the suffering of those affected by the earthquake in general and the sponsored in particular.
He said that Qatar Charity seeks to increase the number of the sponsored in Turkiye, as many children have become orphans who lost their parents in the earthquake. He announced the projects and programs, which will be implemented by Qatar Charity in Ramadan, indicating that they will include food packages, coupons, and Eid clothing.
After the celebration, Al Khulaifi visited the families of orphans affected by the earthquake in Harran camp, to assess their needs. He distributed gifts to the sponsored in the camp, which were sent by the children of Shatharat center in Qatar for those affected by the earthquake.
Qatar Charity has made an urgent intervention for the benefit of sponsored families and orphans as part of the ‘Rofaqa’ initiative. It managed to provide shelter to nearly 125 sponsored families since the first hours of the earthquake, meet the urgent needs of about 70 families, and cover the housing needs of 250 families for a year in Turkiye. It also provided urgent financial aid to 1,000 families for a year in Turkiye, in addition to providing health services and conducting surgeries. Some 25 wheelchairs were delivered to people with disabilities.
In Turkiye, Qatar Charity sponsors more than 6,500 people, including Turks, Syrians, and other nationalities, of whom more than 4,522 were affected by the earthquake.

الدوحة: أعلنت قطر الخيرية عن تنظيمها فعاليات لأسر الأيتام المتضررين من الزلزال بمخيم حران في جنوب تركيا، ضمن مبادرتها “رفقاء لرعاية الطفولة والأيتام حول العالم”، للتخفيف عن معاناتهم، والتعريف بمبادرة “رفقاء”، وأهمية التبرع لكفالة الأيتام.
حضر الحفل كل من السيد يوسف الخليفي المشرف العام على مبادرة “رفقاء”، والسيد مشعل ناصر الهاجري المشرف العام على مكتب قطر الخيرية في تركيا، والسيد أولتان بيرقدار قائم مقام مدينة أكشاكالي، والسيد أحمد أوستاي مدير تربية حران.
وافتتحت الاحتفالية بتلاوة آيات من الذكر الحكيم من أحد المكفولين الحافظين لكتاب الله، تلته فقرات إنشاد قام بأدائها مجموعة من الأطفال المكفولين لدى قطر الخيرية. كما شمل الحفل مسابقات ترفيهية للأيتام وتوزيع جوائز على الفائزين في المسابقة.
وفي كلمته في الحفل، تقدم السيد يوسف الخليفي المشرف العام على مبادرة “رفقاء” بتعازي الشعب القطري وقطر الخيرية لأسر ضحايا كارثة الزلزال، وتطرق إلى المساعدات التي قدمتها قطر الخيرية للتخفيف عن معاناة المتضررين من الزلزال بشكل عام ومكفوليها بشكل خاص.
وقال: إن قطر الخيرية تسعى لزيادة عدد مكفوليها في تركيا خاصة في ظل ازدياد عدد الأيتام الكبير الذين فقدوا ذويهم جراء هذا الزلزال، وأعلن عن المشاريع والبرامج التي ستقدمها قطر الخيرية في شهر رمضان المبارك، والتي تشتمل على سلال غذائية وقسائم شرائية وكسوة للعيد.
وعقب الاحتفال، قام الخليفي بزيارة تفقدية لأسر الأيتام المتضررين من الزلزال في مخيم حران، للاطمئنان على أحوالهم والاطلاع على احتياجاتهم، ووزع الهدايا على المكفولين في المخيم، التي تم إرسالها من أطفال مركز شذرات القاطنين في دولة قطر إلى المتضررين من الزلزال، وحملت هذه الهدايا الكثير من معاني المواساة والأمل، حيث قام الأطفال بإرفاق الهدايا برسائل تضامنية ملصقة على الهدية.
الجدير بالذكر أن قطر الخيرية قامت بالتدخل العاجل لصالح الأسر والأيتام المكفولين ضمن مبادرة “رفقاء”، حيث تمكنت من إيواء حوالي 125 أسرة مكفولة منذ الساعات الأولى لوقوع الزلزال، وتوفير الاحتياجات العاجلة لنحو 70 أسرة، وتغطية احتياجات السكن لـ 250 أسرة لمدة سنة في تركيا، وتقديم معونة مالية عاجلة لـ 1000 أسرة لمدة سنة في تركيا لمساعدة الأسر في توفير متطلبات معيشية غذائية وغير غذائية عاجلة، وخدمات الرعاية الصحية، كما وفرت خدمات رعاية صحية وإجراء عمليات جراحية، ووفرت 25 كرسيا متحركا لذوي الإعاقة.
يشار إلى أن قطر الخيرية تكفل أكثر من 6500 شخص في تركيا ما بين تركي وسوري وجنسيات أخرى، تضرر منهم أكثر من 4,522 مكفولا من الزلزال.
