Qatar Announces Financial Contribution to Support OPCW’s ChemTech Centre

The Hague: The State of Qatar contributed EUR100,000 to a special Trust Fund of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) to support the construction and operation of the new OPCW Centre for Chemistry and Technology (ChemTech Centre), which is being built in the Dutch city of Nootdorp.
During the signing ceremony with HE OPCW Director-General Ambassador Fernando Arias, HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the OPCW Ambassador Nasser Ibrahim Al Lenqawi expressed pleasure for the voluntary contribution of EUR100,000, which aims at achieving OPCW’s objectives and enhance its capabilities.
For his part, OPCW Director-General expressed his sincere appreciation to the Government of Qatar for its voluntary contribution to the ChemTech Centre.

لاهاي: أعلنت دولة قطر عن مساهمتها بمبلغ 100 ألف يورو، لصالح الصندوق الاستئماني الخاص لمنظمة حظر الأسلحة الكيميائية (OPCW)، وذلك لدعم بناء وتشغيل مركز الكيمياء والتكنولوجيا التابع للمنظمة، والذي يجري بناؤه حالياً في مدينة نوتدورب الهولندية.
وأعرب سعادة السيد ناصر بن إبراهيم اللنقاوي سفير دولة قطر لدى مملكة هولندا، المندوب الدائم للدولة لدى منظمة حظر الأسلحة الكيميائية، -خلال حفل توقيع عقد المساهمة مع سعادة السيد فرناندو أرياس المدير العام للمنظمة- عن سعادته بتقديم هذه المساهمة الطوعية التي تهدف إلى تحقيق أحد أهداف المنظمة، وتعزيز قدراتها.
من جانبه، أعرب المدير العام لمنظمة حظر الأسلحة الكيميائية، عن امتنانه لمساهمة دولة قطر في مشروع مركز الكيمياء والتكنولوجيا.
