The most prominent decisions of the weekly cabinet meeting

Doha: HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah chaired the Cabinet’s regular meeting held at its seat at the Amiri Diwan on Wednesday morning.

Following the meeting, HE Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs issued the following statement: At the outset of the meeting, the Cabinet reiterated the State of Qatar’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the Israeli National Security Minister’s storming of the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque on Tuesday, under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, considering it a flagrant violation of the international law and resolutions, a deliberate provocation to Muslims all around the world, and a dangerous escalation of the ongoing Israeli practices desecrating the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, Judaizing Jerusalem, changing its legal and historical status quo, expanding settlements, and the continuous daily brutal attacks on Palestinians.

The Cabinet renewed calls on the international community to take urgent and firm action to compel Israel to stop its violations and provocations, and implement the relevant resolutions of the UN Security Council and the UN General Assembly, before the cycle of violence spreads and hopes fade to establish a real peace that restores the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, at the forefront the establishment of their independent state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Afterward, the Cabinet considered the topics on its agenda as follows:

First: Approval – in principle – of the Minister of Foreign Affairs’ draft decision on determining fees for services for the use of representative missions accredited to the State of Qatar, the Ministerial Hall, and the VIP Lounge at Hamad International Airport.

Second: The Cabinet took the necessary measures to ratify:

1- A memorandum of understanding in the field of food security between the governments of the State of Qatar and the Republic of Turkey.

2- An agreement for joint cooperation in the fields of health between the governments of the State of Qatar and the Republic of Armenia.

3- An agreement for cooperation in the field of education, higher education, and scientific research between the governments of the State of Qatar and the Republic of Armenia.

4- A memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the fields of tourism and business activities between the governments of the State of Qatar and the Republic of Armenia.

Third: The Cabinet reviewed the following topics and took the appropriate decisions thereon:

1- The outcomes of the 24th Meeting of the Committee of the GCC Ministers of Transport.

2- The outcomes of the meetings of GCCs Commercial and Industrial Cooperation Committees.

3- The outcomes of the 18th Meeting of GCC Ministers and Heads of Civil Service Bodies.

4- The outcomes of the 54th report on the work of the National Committee for the Prohibition of Weapons from Jan. 9 to Dec. 31, 2022.

الدوحة: ترأس سعادة الدكتور خالد بن محمد العطية ، نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الدولة لشؤون الدفاع الاجتماع العادي الذي عقده المجلس يوم أمس بمقره في الديوان الأميري.

وعقب الاجتماع أدلى سعادة وزير الدولة لشؤون مجلس الوزراء بما يلي: في بداية الاجتماع جدد مجلس الوزراء إدانة دولة قطر واستنكارها الشديدين لاقتحام وزير الأمن القومي الإسرائيلي باحات المسجد الأقصى المبارك يوم أمس الثلاثاء تحت حماية سلطات الاحتلال، وذلك في انتهاك صارخ للقانون الدولي وقرارات الشرعية الدولية، واستفزاز متعمد لمشاعر ملايين المسلمين وتصعيد خطير للممارسات الإسرائيلية المستمرة في استباحة المسجد الأقصى المبارك وتهويد القدس وتغيير وضعها القانوني والتاريخي وتوسيع الاستيطان ومواصلة الاعتداءات اليومية الوحشية على المواطنين الفلسطينيين.

وطالب المجلس مجددا المجتمع الدولي بتحرك عاجل وحازم لإرغام اسرائيل على وقف انتهاكاتها واستفزازاتها، وتنفيذ قرارات مجلس الأمن الدولي والجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة ذات الصلة، قبل أن تتسع دائرة العنف وتتلاشى الآمال في سلام حقيقي يعيد الحقوق المشروعة للشعب الفلسطيني وفي مقدمتها حقه المشروع في إقامة دولته المستقلة على حدود عام 1967 وعاصمتها القدس الشرقية.

وبعد ذلك نظر مجلس الوزراء في الموضوعات المدرجة على جدول الأعمال على النحو التالي: أولاً- الموافقة – من حيث المبدأ- على مشروع قرار وزير الخارجية بشأن تحديد رسوم خدمات استخدام البعثات التمثيلية المعتمدة لدى دولة قطر الصالة الوزارية وصالة كبار الزوار بمطار حمد الدولي.

ثانياً- اتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة للتصديق على: 1- مذكرة تفاهم في مجال الأمن الغذائي بين حكومة دولة قطر وحكومة الجمهورية التركية .

2- اتفاقية للتعاون المشترك في مجالات الصحة بين حكومة دولة قطر وحكومة أرمينيا .

3- اتفاقية للتعاون في مجال التعليم والتعليم العالي والبحث العلمي بين حكومة دولة قطر وحكومة جمهورية أرمينيا .

4- مذكرة تفاهم للتعاون في المجالين السياحي وفعاليات الأعمال بين حكومة دولة قطر وحكومة جمهورية أرمينيا .

ثالثاً- استعرض مجلس الوزراء الموضوعات التالية ، واتخذ بشأنها القرارات المناسبة : 1- نتائج الاجتماع (24) للجنة وزراء النقل والمواصلات لدول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية .

2- نتائج اجتماعات لجنتي التعاون التجاري والصناعي لدول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية .

3- نتائج الاجتماع (18) للجنة وزراء ورؤساء أجهزة الخدمة المدنية بدول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية .

4- التقرير (54) عن نتائج أعمال اللجنة الوطنية لحظر الأسلحة خلال الفترة من 1 / 9 إلى 31 / 12 / 2022 .
