Qatar Airways making fewer job cuts than many airlines around the world: Al Baker

Qatar Airways is making fewer job cuts than what many airlines around the world have announced, its Group Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker has said during a series of interviews with world-leading media agencies.
Here are some highlights from the interviews:
Based on March, April and May figures, Qatar Airways is deemed the largest international carrier in terms of capacity
Qatar Airways has persevered, grown, expanded, invested even more during the last three years. There has been no slowdown, we have survived and become stronger.
The airline is also the largest in the world over the past three months measured by Available Seat Kilometre.
“We will make sure that we rebound in time, stronger than we were in the past”.
Tourism will rebound as soon as there is a treatment or a vaccine
Qatar Airways is negotiating with both Boeing and Airbus to fulfil the requirement of deferrals and we hope that both manufacturers will oblige
“We will grow once we have seen the business rebounding and we will keep on sustaining ourselves and being a major player in the aviation market.”

قال الرئيس التنفيذي للخطوط الجوية القطرية (أكبر الباكر) خلال سلسلة من المقابلات مع وكالات إعلامية رائدة في العالم إن الخطوط الجوية القطرية تقوم بخفض عدد أقل من الوظائف مقارنة بما أعلنته العديد من شركات الطيران في جميع أنحاء العالم.
فيما يلي بعض النقاط البارزة من المقابلات:
واستناداً إلى أرقام مارس وأبريل ومايو، تعتبر الخطوط الجوية القطرية أكبر شركة طيران دولية من حيث القدرة
وقد ثابرت الخطوط الجوية القطرية ونمت وتوسعت واستثمرت أكثر خلال السنوات الثلاث الماضية.
لم يكن هناك تباطؤ، لقد نجونا وأصبحنا أقوى.
كما أن شركة الطيران هي الأكبر في العالم على مدى الأشهر الثلاثة الماضية التي تقاس بكيلومتر المقعد المتاح.
“سنتأكد من أن ننتعش في الوقت المناسب، أقوى مما كنا عليه في الماضي”.
ستعود السياحة حالما يكون هناك علاج أو لقاح
تتفاوض الخطوط الجوية القطرية مع كل من شركتي (بوينغ) و(إيرباص) للوفاء بمتطلبات التأجيل ونأمل أن يلتزم كلا المصنعين
“سوف ننمو حالما نرى عودة العمل وسوف نستمر في الحفاظ على أنفسنا وكوننا لاعباً رئيسياً في سوق الطيران.”
