Trump: The Coronavirus vaccine Should Have Been Called “Trumpcine”
ترامب: كان يجب أن يطلقوا على لقاح كورونا اسم “ترامبسين”!
Doha: Former U.S. President Donald Trump, in a speech to GOP sponsors Saturday night in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, said the Coronavirus vaccine should be called “Trumpcine” because he helped develop many of them.
The British newspaper The Independent quoted Trump as saying that someone he called “sir” came to him and said the vaccine should be called “Trumpcine” according to Al Arabi Post.
On the other hand, Trump attacked epidemiologist Anthony Fauci for recommending that masks are not to be used at the beginning of the epidemic, before recommending “face” masks in recent months.
Since the beginning of the Coronavirus epidemic, the relationship between Trump and Fauci, top Coronavirus Control Expert, has worsened, culminating in a recent interview with The Washington Post, in which he warned of “the United States moving in the wrong direction on the fight against Coronavirus”.
Trump seemed determined to get rid of the infectious disease expert, Anthony Fauci, and Trump re-posted a hashtag on Twitter calling for the dismissal of Dr. Anthony Fauci, after the country’s top infectious disease expert said that lives would have been saved had the country taken early lockdown measures during the outbreak of the emerging coronavirus.
As for Fauchi, he said, in his first conference since Biden assumed the presidency of America, that he was finally free to talk about the Coronavirus without “fear” of Trump, after the new president took office and the previous US administration left.

صحيفة “الإندبندنت” البريطانية نقلت عن ترامب قوله إن شخصاً سمّاه “سيدي” جاء إليه، وقال إن اللقاح يجب أن يُسمى “ترامبسين”، وفقا لما ذكره موقع “عربي بوست”.
من جهة أخرى، هاجم ترامب خبير الأوبئة أنتوني فاوتشي، بسبب توصيته بعدم استخدام الكمامات في بداية الوباء، قبل أن يوصي بـ”خمس” كمامات في الأشهر الأخيرة.
يشار إلى أنه منذ بداية أزمة كورونا ساءت العلاقة بين ترامب وفاوتشي الخبير البارز في “خلية مكافحة كورونا”، لتبلغ ذروتها مع إجراء الأخير مقابلة مع صحيفة “واشنطن بوست”، حذّر فيها من “سير الولايات المتحدة في الاتجاه الخاطئ بشأن مكافحة كورونا”.
إذ بدا ترامب مُصرّاً على التخلص من خبير الأمراض المعدية، أنتوني فاوتشي، وأعاد ترامب نشر وسم على تويتر يدعو لإقالة الدكتور أنتوني فاوتشي، بعد أن قال أكبر خبير للأمراض المعدية في البلاد إنه كان من الممكن إنقاذ أرواح لو اتخذت البلاد إجراءات الإغلاق مبكراً خلال تفشي فيروس كورونا المستجد.
أما فاوتشي فقال، في أول مؤتمر له منذ تولِّي بايدن رئاسة أمريكا، إنه أصبح أخيراً حراً في حديثه عن فيروس كورونا دون “خوف” من ترامب، وذلك بعد تولِّي الرئيس الجديد منصبه وخروج الإدارة الأمريكية السابقة.
