Ministry of Labor Launches New Set of E-Services

Doha: The Ministry of Labor launched of a new set of e-services on its digital platform as part of its Digital Transformation plan to achieve operational excellence and enhance end user satisfaction. This new release includes the following services, namely the request to modify the location of recruitment office and the request to extend a general work license (Extension of QID validity date).

The request to extend a general work license allows an establishment to request for extending employee work permits (QIDs) with the Ministry online, without the need to submit documents manually or make in-person visits to the Ministry offices. The approval will be granted online, and the requesting establishment and employee notified electronically as well.

The request to modify the location of recruitment office allows an establishment to request for their recruitment office to be moved from its current location to another location of choice, subject to venue verification. The request can be submitted, reviewed, and approved by the Ministry online, with the requesting establishment notified automatically about the decision.

The launch of these new e-services package, the third of its kind, is part of the Ministry’s plan to provide all services in an electronic and paperless manner, relying on modern digital solutions to achieve this objective.

In fact, the Ministrys Digital Transformation Management Unit is working on developing, updating and offering nearly 80 electronic services and transactions during the coming period, as the transaction will be completed without the need to visit the ministrys building or service offices or submit paper documents.

Furthermore, the Digital Transformation Management Unit has adopted the “Agile solution delivery” framework, making the Ministry of Labor one of the first governmental organizations in the State of Qatar adopt such move, enabling to launch new services and updates frequently. This will allow the beneficiaries to access new digitally enabled services every 6 to 8 weeks.

The Ministry is working on developing a comprehensive digital platform to host all e-services it provides and is coordinating with the various authorities involved to ensure appropriate integrations and optimized delivery to enhance the quality of services and improve end user satisfaction.

It should be noted that the Ministry of Labor currently provides more than 50 digital services on its website.

الدوحة: أطلقت وزارة العمل حزمة من الخدمات الرقمية الإلكترونية الجديدة، في إطار استراتيجيتها للتحول الرقمي للخدمات، والمساهمة في تحقيق التميز في الأداء، وسرعة إنجاز المعاملات وتبسيط الإجراءات.

وتشمل الحزمة الجديدة خدمات متنوعة، منها خدمة طلب تجديد ترخيص عمل عام (تمديد الرقم الشخصي)، وخدمة تعديل موقع رخصة مكتب استقدام.

وتسمح خدمة طلب تجديد ترخيص عمل عام (تمديد الرقم الشخصي) بطلب تمديد تصاريح الموظفين مع الوزارة، دون الحاجة إلى تقديم المستندات يدويا أو القيام بزيارات شخصية إلى مبنى الوزارة، حيث سيتم منح الموافقة وإخطار المنشأة والموظف إلكترونيا أيضا.

وتتيح خدمة طلب تعديل موقع رخصة مكتب استقدام للمنشأة إمكانية تقديم طلب نقل مكتب التوظيف الخاص بها من الموقع الحالي المعتمد إلى موقع آخر بعد الكشف على الموقع الجديد، ومن ثم مراجعة الطلب والموافقة عليه من قبل الوزارة إلكترونيا، مع إخطار المنشأة بالقرار تلقائيا.

يأتي إطلاق حزمة الخدمات الإلكترونية الجديدة، وهي الثالثة من نوعها، ضمن خطة الوزارة الرامية لتقديم كافة الخدمات إلكترونيا بدون استخدام الورق، والاعتماد على الحلول الرقمية.

وتعمل وحدة إدارة التحول الرقمي بوزارة العمل على تطوير وتحديث وطرح ما يقارب 80 خدمة ومعاملة إلكترونية خلال الفترة المقبلة؛ إذ سيتم إنجاز المعاملة دون الحاجة إلى مراجعة مبنى الوزارة أو مكاتب الخدمات أو تقديم المستندات الورقية.

وتعتمد هذه الوحدة على منهجية الهندسة الرشيقة “أجايل”، كأول مؤسسة في دولة قطر تعتمد على هذه الهندسة، التي تتيح القدرة على إطلاق الخدمات والتحديثات الجديدة على أساس شهري، الأمر الذي يعد تغيرا كبيرا في متوسط مدة الإصدار لما يقرب من 6 إلى 8 أسابيع.

وتسعى وزارة العمل حاليا إلى إطلاق منظومة إلكترونية شاملة لكافة الخدمات التي تقدمها خلال الفترة المقبلة، لا سيما للشركات الملتزمة بأحكام القانون، وذلك من تطوير الخدمات الإلكترونية المقدمة للجمهور، بالتنسيق مع مختلف الجهات المعنية، لضمان جودة الخدمات.

تجدر الإشارة إلى أن وزارة العمل تقدم حاليا أكثر من 50 خدمة إلكترونية ومعاملة عبر موقعها الإلكتروني.
