QRCS Launches “Devotion To Gaza” Campaign

Doha: Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) has launched a QR 10 million fundraising campaign under the title #DevotionToGaza, with the aim of implementing a series of early recovery projects for 57,896 people affected by the recent was on Gaza.
HE Secretary-General of QRCS Ambassador Ali bin Hassan Al Hammadi stated, “The tragedy of Gaza persists, with recurrent wars and 15 years of blockade. Once again, Israeli occupation forces have just attacked Gaza, causing the Palestinians there even more pain and suffering. Incessant airstrikes destroyed peoples homes and rendered them and their wives and children feeling unsafe”.
“Listening to their imploring voices, Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) extends a humanitarian hand from the people of Qatar to relieve their wounds and support them amid such difficult conditions. A QR 10 million emergency humanitarian response is launched to secure food, health, water and sanitation, and shelter aid, with a view to removing the impact of war, fostering Gazas resilience, and enabling recovery from this ordeal,” he added.
According to the humanitarian intervention plan set by QRCS under license from the Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities (RACA), many life-saving projects will be implemented in the health sector, support and rehabilitation services, digging water wells and constructing water supply systems, restoring and rehabilitating damaged homes, and providing one-time cash assistance.
To execute these projects, QRCS will be working with Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS). Since the opening of its representation office in Gaza in 2008, QRCS has carried out more than 90 projects in health care, rehabilitation of hospitals and health centers, training of medical professionals, and distribution of emergency relief aid, with a total value of more than $110 million.

الدوحة: أطلق الهلال الأحمر القطري حملة تحت عنوان “وفاء لغزة”؛ بهدف جمع تبرعات بقيمة 10 ملايين ريال قطري، لتنفيذ سلسلة من مشاريع التعافي المبكر لصالح 57,896 متضررا من العدوان الأخير الذي تعرض له القطاع.
وقال سعادة السفير علي بن حسن الحمادي، الأمين العام للهلال الأحمر القطري: إن مأساة قطاع غزة مستمرة ما بين حروب متكررة وحصار ممتد منذ 15 عاما، ليتعرض القطاع مؤخرا لعدوان جديد من قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، ومعه تتجدد آلام الأشقاء الفلسطينيين من أبناء القطاع، الذين أضحوا تحت القصف الجوي المتواصل.
وأضاف في تصريح صحفي بهذه المناسبة أن الهلال الأحمر القطري لم يكن بعيدا عن صرخات أهل غزة المستنجدة بالعالم، فمد يد الإنسانية لهم بعطاء أهل قطر للتخفيف من جراحهم، وإغاثتهم في هذه الظروف الصعبة، من خلال إطلاق استجابة إنسانية عاجلة بقيمة 10 ملايين ريال قطري، لتوفير مساعدات إغاثية في مجالات الغذاء والصحة والمياه والإصحاح والإيواء، ستساهم في إزالة آثار العدوان، وتمكين أبناء القطاع من الصمود، ومساعدتهم على التعافي من هذه المحنة الأليمة.
ووفقا لخطة التدخل الإنساني التي وضعها الهلال الأحمر القطري، بترخيص من هيئة تنظيم الأعمال الخيرية، سيتم تنفيذ مجموعة كبيرة من المشاريع المنقذة للأرواح في المجالات الصحية وخدمات الدعم والتأهيل، وحفر الآبار وتركيب شبكات المياه، وترميم وإعادة تأهيل البيوت المتهدمة مع تزوديها بالطاقة الشمسية، وتقديم منح وكفالات نقدية مقطوعة.
ولتنفيذ هذه المشاريع، أكد الحمادي على التعاون الوثيق بين الهلال الأحمر القطري وشقيقه الفلسطيني، وتنفيذه ما يزيد عن 90 مشروعا مختلفا منذ افتتاح مكتبه التمثيلي في غزة عام 2008، وتوزيع المساعدات الإغاثية العاجلة بقيمة إجمالية تجاوزت 110 ملايين دولار أمريكي.
