Awqaf Provides New Support for Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Special Needs

Doha: Represented by the General Directorate Of Endowments (Awqaf), the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs announced providing new support for Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Special Needs (QSRN), within the framework of the continued cooperation between the two parties in serving those with disabilities.
HE Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs Ghanem bin Shaheen bin Ghanem Al Ghanem said in statements that the support provided by the ministry to the association comes as a continuation of the fruitful cooperation between the two sides, which resulted in benefiting 55 persons with disabilities last year, by purchasing medical and compensatory devices for them.
His Excellency extended his thanks to QSRN for its distinct part in achieving conditions, pointing out the historical role of the endowment, especially the Waqf Bank for Healthcare, in developing societies and providing creativity opportunities for all groups, including those with disabilities.
For his part, Member of the Board of Directors QSRN Taleb Afifa expressed his appreciation for the endowment support, which will benefit many persons with disabilities this year, adding that the relation between Awqaf and concerned bodies with those with disabilities, including QSRN, have always been solid and well-established, as these relations were reflected on many projects, programs and various means of assistance that were directed to the beneficiaries.
Established on the historical role of health endowments in the Islamic history, the Waqf Bank for Healthcare is one of the most important specialized banks at the local level.
This bank plays an important role in providing care for low-income patients, providing them with appropriate health services, cooperating with the competent authorities to create joint health programs, conducting educational training courses in the health field, and employing various media to spread health culture among members of society.

الدوحة: أعلنت وزارة الأوقاف والشؤون الإسلامية، ممثلة بالإدارة العامة للأوقاف، عن تقديم دعم جديد للجمعية القطرية لتأهيل ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة، وذلك في إطار التعاون المستمر بين الطرفين لخدمة ذوي الإعاقة.
وقال الدكتور الشيخ خالد بن محمد بن غانم آل ثاني المدير العام للإدارة العامة للأوقاف، في تصريحات، إن هذا الدعم المقدم من الوزارة للجمعية يأتي استمرارا للتعاون المثمر بين الجهتين، والذي استفاد منه العام الماضي 55 من ذوي الإعاقة، وذلك بشراء أجهزة طبية وتعويضية لهم، معربا عن شكره للجمعية القطرية لذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة لدورها المميز في تحقيق شروط الواقفين الكرام، ومبينا الدور التاريخي للوقف وخاصة المصرف الوقفي للرعاية الصحية في تنمية المجتمعات، وتوفير فرص الإبداع لجميع الفئات، ومنها فئة ذوي الإعاقة.
من جهته، ثمن السيد طالب عفيفة عضو مجلس إدارة الجمعية القطرية لتأهيل ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة، الدعم الوقفي الذي سيستفيد منه هذا العام العشرات من ذوي الإعاقة، قائلا إن العلاقة التي تربط بين الأوقاف والجهات المعنية بذوي الإعاقة ومنها “الجمعية” قديمة وراسخة، عكستها العديد من المشاريع والبرامج وأنواع مختلفة من المساعدات التي وجهت لصالح المستفيدين.
يشار إلى أن المصرف الوقفي للرعاية الصحية من المصارف المتخصصة المهمة على الصعيد المحلي، وقد أنشئ بناء على الدور التاريخي للأوقاف الصحية في التاريخ الإسلامي.
ويقوم هذا المصرف بدور مهم في رعاية المرضى المحتاجين من محدودي الدخل للعلاج، وتوفير الخدمات الصحية المناسبة لهم، والتعاون مع الجهات المختصة لعمل برامج صحية مشتركة، وإقامة الدورات التدريبية التثقيفية بالمجال الصحي، وتوظيف مختلف الوسائل الإعلامية لنشر الثقافة الصحية بين أفراد المجتمع.
