Amir Chairs First Meeting of Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment

Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment, chaired on Tuesday morning the Council’s first meeting in 2022 at the Amiri Diwan.
HH the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Deputy Chairman of the Council, attended the meeting along with HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani, Executive Member of the Council, and Their Excellencies members of the Council.
The Council reviewed the decisions and recommendations made in the fourth meeting of 2021 and the project follow-up report. The Council also discussed the country’s economic priorities and took appropriate decisions in their regard.
Also, the Council was briefed on the presentation on financial technology (FinTech) and the banking sector, the strategy of the industrial sector in the country, and the latest developments of the Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZA) and the Investment Promotion Agency of Qatar (IPA Qatar).
The Council discussed the topics listed on its agenda and took the appropriate decisions in their regard.

الدوحة: ترأس حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى، رئيس المجلس الأعلى للشؤون الاقتصادية والاستثمار، الاجتماع الأول للمجلس لعام 2022، والذي عقد بالديوان الأميري صباح الأمس.
شارك في الاجتماع سمو الشيخ عبدالله بن حمد آل ثاني نائب الأمير، نائب رئيس المجلس، ومعالي الشيخ خالد بن خليفة بن عبدالعزيز آل ثاني رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الداخلية، العضو التنفيذي للمجلس، وأصحاب السعادة أعضاء المجلس.
وجرى خلال الاجتماع استعراض ما تم من قرارات وتوصيات في الاجتماع الرابع لعام 2021، وتقرير متابعة المشاريع، كما ناقش المجلس سبل تنفيذ الأولويات الاقتصادية للدولة، واتخذ بشأنها القرارات المناسبة.
كما اطلع المجلس على العرض المتعلق بالتكنولوجيا المالية والقطاع المصرفي، وعرض استراتيجية قطاع الصناعة في الدولة، وآخر مستجدات هيئة المناطق الحرة ووكالة ترويج الاستثمار.
وجرى أيضا تناول الموضوعات المدرجة على جدول أعماله واتخذ بشأنها القرارات المناسبة.
