The most prominent decisions of the weekly cabinet meeting

Doha: HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani chaired the Cabinet’s regular meeting held at its seat at the Amiri Diwan on Wednesday.

At the outset of the meeting, the Cabinet listened to the explanation given by HE Minister of Public Health Dr. Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari on the latest developments to limit the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). The Cabinet affirmed the continuation of the precautionary measures that have been taken to combat the pandemic.

Then, the Cabinet considered the topics on the agenda as follows:

First – Approval of a draft law regulating the right to obtain information and refer it to the Shura Council.

The Administrative Control and Transparency Authority has prepared the draft law, to achieve the highest indicators of integrity and transparency and to keep pace with global developments in this regard.

Second – Approval of a draft Amiri Decision amending some provisions of Decision No. 19 of 2011 establishing the Standing Committee for Water Resources.

Third – Approval of Qatar Tourism’s participation in the ILTM Asia Pacific 2022 exhibition to be held in Singapore from June 20 to 23, 2022.

Fourth – Take the necessary measures to ratify the memorandum of understanding between the General Authority of Customs of the State of Qatar and the World Customs Organization regarding the establishment of a regional training center affiliated with the World Customs Organization in the State of Qatar.

الدوحة: ترأس معالي الشيخ خالد بن خليفة بن عبدالعزيز آل ثاني رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الداخلية، الاجتماع العادي الذي عقده المجلس، يوم أمس، بمقره في الديوان الأميري.

وفي بداية الاجتماع، استمع المجلس إلى الشرح الذي قدمته سعادة الدكتورة حنان محمد الكواري، وزير الصحة العامة، حول آخر المستجدات والتطورات للحد من انتشار فيروس كورونا /كوفيد-19/، وأكد المجلس على استمرار العمل بما تم اتخاذه من إجراءات وتدابير احترازية في سبيل مكافحة الوباء.

ثم نظر مجلس الوزراء في الموضوعات المدرجة على جدول الأعمال على النحو التالي:

أولا- الموافقة على مشروع قانون بتنظيم الحق في الحصول على المعلومات، وعلى إحالته إلى مجلس الشورى.

وقد أعدت هيئة الرقابة الإدارية والشفافية مشروع القانون، لتحقيق أعلى مؤشرات النزاهة والشفافية ومواكبة التطورات العالمية في هذا الشأن.

ثانيا- الموافقة على مشروع قرار أميري بتعديل بعض أحكام القرار رقم (19) لسنة 2011 بإنشاء اللجنة الدائمة للموارد المائية.

ثالثا- الموافقة على مشاركة قطر للسياحة في معرض ILTM Asia Pacific-2022 المقرر إقامته في سنغافورة خلال الفترة من 20 إلى 23 / 6 / 2022.

رابعا- اتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة للتصديق على مذكرة التفاهم بين الهيئة العامة للجمارك في دولة قطر ومنظمة الجمارك العالمية بخصوص تأسيس مركز تدريب إقليمي تابع لمنظمة الجمارك العالمية في دولة قطر.
